An expected fall of the Ethniki on the FIFA ranking that was released today: from #43 to #52.

Greece had a great opportunity to go up if we would have got a result vs Italy and won vs turkey and Armenia.

It's just going to be a downward trend. By the time this qualification is over we will be down near 60. Only 28 pts separate us from 60th lol ?

qualifying for the next tournament will be so hard. We will probably be in pot 5

I thinks it’s based on form such as losses and wins. We’ve been losing lately and it’s understandable to be this low. We haven’t made tournaments. It does seem lower than expected but hopefully with the ranking of 60th, the EPO can now understand how bad they are at running the team m. They are the most at fault for all this.

It's ridiculous for Greece to be in 60th. The FIFA rankings are not that credible, I don't know how the power house of football Venezuela is in 26th?

According to the current state of mind of the Ethniki a 100th place would be more likely to be credible. As the system is reflecting a longer range of time this benefits our Ethniki at this moments, to be honest.

We can be a top 20 team. We just need a good coach. In 2004 Greece were the underdogs. Then they won the whole thing. They fought for the shirt and played as a team. We had more leaders then aswell. Rehaggel made the team gel. We have decent players currently it’s all about wanting to fight for the shirt and the coach playing the right players. We can improve. I hope Van’t Schipt does something amazing and the team gets to back where it belongs and that’s the top 20. It will take time.

We also need a massive cleanup at EPO.

We need a real leader, when karagounis retired that's when this spiral downwards began. Though I would have never imagined it would be this bad. Also letting Santos walk and replacing him with Ranieri a man without any clear plan and it showed with the results especially losing to the Faroe islands.

I hope Van't Schip can implement his plan and we hopefully see some results and start to move back up the FIFA rankings.

For the next Nations league Greece are in League C along with Cyprus, Albania, skopia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Georgia, Estonia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Armenia, Belarus, Luxembourg, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

Greece have to win there group there are no excuses we should have finished first last time out which blew our chance of a play off spot for the Euro's.

Wow, 60 ranking..are the players feeling shame?

they don't seem to care. for example Manolas letting Salinovic or whatever outpace him despite Manolas clocking one of the fastest sprint speed makes no sense unless he deliver doesn't care. It's like broken glass, I think after letting Faroe Islands beat us it's very easy to just let all pride slip away. We lost our pride as a football nation after that loss. After the Euro win we were highly competitive because we built ourselves a bit of reputation but eventually it got to our heads and we lost something along the way about what got us there.

Willem II vs AZ played yesterday and featured 3 Greece players. AZ are third in the league whereas Willem are 10th.

Pavlidis, Vrousai started for Willem and Hatzidiakos subbed in 2nd half. Willem's goal came from a chest pass by Pavlidis to Vrousai who did well to control the ball and then deliver a good pass for the goal. Pavlidis has quite a presense. He had some great chances including a missed penalty, that ballooned over the bar.

Yes, again, at the end of the day, if a team keeps winning they will go up, people can say what they want about this system, at the end of the day. We wouldn't have beaten Tunisia for sure at all in the past 5 years can tell you that
