dark_horse
With Turkey's victory over Greece, the Greeks are expected to drop down a little and should still remain in the top 20. Unless if FIFA wants to be generous to us. :P
Toumba
Lets be honest, I know it looks nice but do we honestly deserve to be ranked 13th?? s%$#! no, we've rarely managed to beat competant opposition since 2004. We all know these rankings always seem to lack any logic, yet it's funny that we gloss over the fact that Greece has a very generous ranking herself. I somewhat agree with you that these rankings sometimes lack logic, like how is Argentina (lost the Copa America final) ranked above Italy (World Champions, only one year ago). On the other hand look at the teams below us, can you clearly say that they are far and beyond better than us?

dark_horse
Greece's ranked opponents in the World Cup Qualifier are: Israel 26th Switzerland 44th Moldova 53rd Latvia 85th Luxembourg 149th
AEK-MTL
I'm surprised Sweden is so low. They're still a pretty good team. As for our WC qualifying opponents, we shouldn't be fooled by their low rankings. Israel will give us a challenge as will the Swiss. Moldova won't be easy although we should win both games no question. I think Latvia is a bit of a wild card. I can understand why we couldn't come to an agreement with them about the scheduling of the games. Latvia are very capable of nicking a 0-0 or even a 1-0 from us. Luxembourg are obviously the minnows of the group. I can only hope that the rest of the teams will take points off each other (I think Moldova might just help us out in this regard). The top 10 seems about right although I think Germany should be 4th and Spain 5th while Netherlands should be 8th and Portugal 9th but I guess that's just nitpicking. I know everyone in the universe rates Croatia, but I somehow secretly want them to fail miserably.
