Dutch Eagle Posted August 25 Posted August 25 MD 2. Probably our biggest rival we need to beat if we want to finish first.
ChrisT Posted September 2 Posted September 2 This will be a test for how far we've come. We usually lose games like this, an uninspiring but solid Scandi team. 1
PaokCT Posted September 2 Posted September 2 What's good for us is they play a tough Scottish team before, while we can possibly rest some players vs Belarus. 1
Antaeus7 Posted September 3 Posted September 3 I think I read that a few Danish key players will miss this match. 1
pash Posted Friday at 09:00 PM Posted Friday at 09:00 PM Going into this game with Denmark having drawn at home. Could be a huge chance to build up a lead here. Definitely need a win; could get unlucky in one or two of the three remaining tough games after this. 1
HellasLEAF Posted Friday at 09:29 PM Posted Friday at 09:29 PM Denmark will have even more urgency for the 3 points now. We should look to capitalize on the counter if they open up at times. Will be a tough match for sure.
Antaeus7 Posted Friday at 10:22 PM Posted Friday at 10:22 PM I found out that Christian Eriksen did not play in the home match vs. Scotland, so he will be out for this match as well. 1
paokarag4 Posted Saturday at 04:08 AM Posted Saturday at 04:08 AM It goes without saying, this game will be far tougher than the one against Belarus. The Danes who have been mainstays at major tournaments for the last 7 or so years, have been able to build that solid record of qualification on a strong defence. They have been typically tough to break down and have had plenty of results by keeping a clean sheet. So it will be the first real test for our young guns and all their attacking flair. I expect Denmark will look to keep it tight and allow us to have the bulk of possession. Our attack has been blowing teams away, so an early goal and who knows. But I would anticipate a cat and mouse game. I don't expect Jovanovic to make any changes to the starting 11 that we saw today. Even though plenty (myself included) wanted to see Konstantelias instead of Bakasetas, you can't deny Bakasetas has performed time and time again for the Ethniki. He had another good game against the Belarusians, so I don't think he will be dropped for this one. 4
pash Posted Saturday at 04:15 AM Posted Saturday at 04:15 AM If they're defensively strong, then this is great news. We have an overabundance of attacking talent. And my spirit animal Koulierakis might get annoyed and carry out some attacks on his own too. A good win here will make a serious statement.

pash Posted Monday at 06:40 PM Posted Monday at 06:40 PM I've never heard a commentator describe a Greece game as "a mouthwatering prospect awaits" 1
