  1. There's an interview with Bakasetas in the Player Profile section on the uefa.tv app.
  2. Grecce finish the March window 20th in Elo ranking, the 14th UEFA team.
  3. Seven points from the first three games would be enough because we also can't be sure that Denmark will win in Scotland.
  4. Yes, all 12 qualifying group runners-up qualify for the playoffs together with the four highest-ranked UNL group winners which don't finish in the top two of their qualifying group.
  5. Greece climb to 21st in the updated Elo NT ranking (if you're not familiar with the Elo ranking, it's the oldest (started in the 1950s compared to the FIFA coefficient ranking which was launched in 1993) and widely considered to be the most accurate NT football ranking (of course, it's only a guide, so it won't accurately predict every result). In fact after the 2018 WC ,FIFA changed its own coefficient ranking to base it on the Elo method. https://www.eloratings.net/
  6. Portugal 1-1 Denmark with about 20 minutes remaining, so it's Portugal the likely pot one opponent in the qualifying group.
  7. Greece controlled the game, created chances and defended well. Unlike in the first leg, the finishing tonight was clinical; the second goal was world class! Pavlidis was shown the yellow card in the second half which I thought might be costly come the Qualifiers in the autumn but the UNL regulations state that: "Cautions and pending yellow-card suspensions expire at the end of a team's involvement in the competition."
  8. No, you're right, but of course it's better to be in the highest UNL league possible and in Greece's case that's League A if they can overcome Scotland.
  9. Greece winning and being promoted to League A is clearly the best outcome. It will provide higher quality opposition and more attractive and lucrative games in the next UNL and the 2028 European Qualifiers draw will be seeded exclusively on the preceding UNL group phase ranking (like the 2024 Qualifiers draw was), so providing Greece wouldn't finish bottom of their group and be automatically relegated they'll be one of the 12 teams in pot one for that draw.
  10. Only the four highest-ranked UNL group winners which finish outside the top two places in their WCQ group are assured of a place in the WCQ playoffs. If there are any of these places left when they have gone through each of the four leagues (14 group winners in Leagues A-D) they will then go to the overall league phase ranking, starting with League A and finishing with League D.
  11. 2025 EURO U19 Qualifying Round 1 MD1, 13.11.24 Bosnia 2-5 Greece Montenegro 0-3 Italy MD 2, 16.11.24 Italy-Bosnia Greece-Montenegro MD3 19.11.24 Greece-Italy Bosnia-Montenegro
  12. Article 15 Equality of points – league phase 15.01 If two or more teams in the same group are equal on points on completion of the league phase, the following criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine their rankings: higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question; superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question; higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question; if, after having applied criteria a) to c), teams still have an equal ranking, criteria a) to c) are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the remaining teams to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria e) to k) apply in the order given to the two or more teams still equal; superior goal difference in all group matches; higher number of goals scored in all group matches; higher number of away goals scored in all group matches; higher number of wins in all group matches; higher number of away wins in all group matches; lower disciplinary points total based only on yellow and red cards received by players and team officials in all group matches (red card = 3 points, yellow card = 1 point, expulsion for two yellow cards in one match = 3 points); higher position in the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League Access List [this would be England].
  13. Greece (31.525) now very close to passing Norway (31.625) in 14th place in the 5-year ranking.
