I never bought the argument that OFI lays down for us. This year the 2 matches cost us 4 points (out of 6 possible). A few years ago, we lost the championship because of OFI.

I wasn't referring to you man more to the OLY fans that claimed that OFI always lays down against us

Frankly, I can't believe what I see this year ! this is the first time you loose points from Ofi at home after NINE years of easy wins. It was a well known secret that Ofi was a simple branch of Vardinogianni group. however, not even a hardcore Osfp fan could claim that now (4 points missed in two games, 5 goals conceded in total).

Times are changing and this one was for good I think...

Yes, that last one on Mantzios was a clear penalty.

No, PAO should NOT depend on that, to beat OFI in the last minute.

Most Greek referees would NOT give a third penalty in the last minute.

PAO was once again, very vulnerable defensively, and inefficient offensively.

Only player that stood out was Ivan.

Galinovic was at fault in BOTH goals. He hesitated coming out and miscommunicated with Goumas, who was also at fault.

Morris was also too slow to react and was beaten

Both goals came from the left side, where Nillson was weak, and played out of position.

Munioz had never before used him on the left side, and correctly switched him with Vyntra in the second half.

Overall another depressing game, where PAO was unable to perform to expectations.

Lens will be the final check for this team. With the recent PAO performances I would consider advancing in the UEFA cup, a minor miracle.

PEACE

we played a good game... especially first half... our defence was suck, big time, all of them- nilsson-vyntra-morris-gkoumas-galinovic.

BEST FOR PAO:

Ninis

Ivan

Bovio

Salpi

against paok for the greek cup, once ninis was replaced, the team slacked off.

and once again today.

shoulda been a red card however one the first penalty as the rules clearly have the tackle as a last man tackle.

ivan is the best transfer pao has made in recent years. he has majo4r talent and would be a crime to see him in another uniform.

goumas, nilsson and vyntra have to go.

sadly who to replace them with.

If the ball doesn't want you, then you must not let opponents score such silly goals. "Aeramyna" is the word of the day. Everyone is in postition but get stuck in the mud twice as the OFI players move around them and score with ease. Both OFI goals were the result of mental lapse by our CBs who looked a little too relaxed back there. Morris on the first and Goumas on the second found themselves spectators to the nice play by the OFI players.

Good game overall, but only if we consider it in relation to the early part of the season. At least today we looked good on attack even though we could not push the ball to the net. The ball swirled around the OFI box like a wasp with some percistence, but it was always "a little too long", "a little too short", or "a little too soft". Munoz turns out was right when he was asking for a CF this past stansfer period, and we were right to beg for a CB.

I am still trying to understand why Galinovic replaced Ebede. The second goal was another braindead play by our goalkeeper.

Vintra started on the right and Nilsson on the left today, but switched in the second half. Vintra played well in both positions, but Nilsson had major problems on the left and was marginally better on the right. Goumas and Morris again let opponents score once again in their area of responsibillity and lost the OFI forwards more than once.

Our midfield pushed the ball forward well today, and with the exception of Tziolis controlled the game and kept the ball outside OFI's box almost the entire game. Ivanschitz had a monster game with excelent crosses and runs, and penetrated behind the defence more than once. Ninis on the other end was also very good in the first half, but more quiet in the second. Bovio had a good game as well, and had some good runs with the ball, but once again he delivered some horrible freekicks and corners. Tziolis looked sluggish today and was slow to react in many occasions.

Salpigidis scored twice from the penalty spot, and won the first one. He fought hard but he had no support from Mantzios who was invisible toady.

Romero came in for Ninis and did not do anything better, while Leontiou replaced Tziolis and pushed some clever passes forward. Haralabidis replaced Ivanschitz on the left in the 82d minute and managed to lose the ball in just about every occasion.

Munoz was out of form today. He played the goalkeeper that had some major game-defining blunders to his credit in the past two games (make that three after today), and switched our fullbacks. Two of his three substitudes made the team worst, but I am not sure he can be responsibille for the players looking so flat after we scored twice. This can be just inexperience.

To put everything in perspective, we played a better game than we could play in the first half of the season. That's three good games out of our last five. However we count two loses, two wins, and two ties in this stretch.

In fact, after our nice stretch of seven straight wins and beginning with the game against Rapid Bucuresti we have played 15 games in all competitions. In this period we count 5 defeats, 5 ties, and 5 wins. That's pretty bad!

All we have now is the realization that the team is beginning to roll offensivelly, but at the same time our defense shows signs of dissaray.

Let's hope we find some equilibrium and some confidence. A win in Lens would do miracles for the young players :box:

###### BS!!!

Everytime we have a chance to make up ground on either oly or aek we ###### blow it big time!!!

what the F*** is wrong with this s%$#! excuse of a team!!

were going to get raped in europe this week...

###### brothel of a team!! bunch of gypsys the lot of them!!

Calm down.... OFI is not that bad a team and when your playing in a swimming pool everybody is on the same level.

there are some really good players on PAO. The defense is crap and unorganized and worst of all slow... It happens, the team still has cleaning up to do and a whole new defense needs to be built. The current crop is simply finished. We mold a new one with new base players and youth, but it has been basically the same for the last 3 years.

Re-structuring the defensive personell and keeping the young defenders/giving them chances (especially since this season is lost now its perfect timing to take a few risks for the sake of development) I dont think Munoz realizes the situation in the back has been the same for so long and there isnt a hope for it. The teams rebuilding in midfield and up front is going ok, but defensivley nothing has been integrated in.

Also having players like Seric, Biscan, Romero, Nilsson, Antonsson on the team doesnt help anything....we need to cut the dead weight before this team can take off. But it seems everytime we lose deadweight we add more in our stupid transfers.

Yes, Were going to lose in Lens definitly but come on do not call them gypsies

There are PANATHINAIKOI, OLYMPIAKOI, AEKTZHDES, PAOKTZHDES, etc.

And there are vazeles  gauroi  xanoumia  voulgaroi

YOU choose to be one, or the other, with your attitudes and behaviour...

If we were Spanish, English, Italians, Germans or French. Countries with teams that have won multiple European trophies. I would not condone, but try to understand the rivalries that cross national borders, when it comes to European success.

Being GREEK, from a tiny football nation, that has achieved NOTHING, in the European world of club football, other than a couple of "flashes" into the final and semis...

I do not understand the "complex" that possesses a Greek fan, to wish for a Greek team to do poorly abroad, to avoid being "teased" for his own team's failures :nono:

I do not care if the "majority" do it, if fans from my own team do it, or if fanatics in other countries do it.

IT IS DEPLORABLE, SELF DEFEATING and INEXCUSABLE, for any Greek fan, regardless of team affiliation, to feel and act that way.

SHAME!

Grow up! This is the kind of mentality that keeps our football and championship at the bottom. How can we blame our nationals for wanting to stay abroad.

Greek football will never advance, unless the attitude and mentality of the FANS change. It all starts from there.

Good luck to AEK and PAO this mid week. :gr:

File, you're in the minority. So am I. Identifying with a team goes beyond liking the sport. It's a part of an identity, trying to feel special somehow. You can't possibly tolerate the "others." I mean, this is exactly what humans have done for thousands of years... excluding and hating the "others."

However, some societies have advanced to the point that tolerance and civil behavior is the order of the day. Being different is OK--not a reason to be beaten up or worse...

As for Greek football, it's the primitive behavior that basically says, all others should die... And, don't tell me that many Greeks don't actually HATE others just because they support another (gasp) sports team! I love my team but I don't hate others. How could you excuse people when they attack others in order to cause serious bodily harm? How could you excuse people who call other Greeks "Voulgarous"??? Actually I find such behavior offensive to our Hellenic civilization...

A romantic point of view!

My friend, this is part of the game...I couldn't imagine myself supporting olympiakos in CL and sympathising with them, when they get humiliated every year!

Teasing, without fanatism, is just funny! (Even if we pao fans are really bored of lately :P )

And I as a pao fan I feel I have done something in Europe that I can be proud of even if we haven't win any cup!

But most of all, I don't support the idea that fans have even a minor responsibility about the level of greek football! The same fans(with the same mentality) enjoy basketball, or volleyball that have an adequate level all these years...do you think oly fans want pao to win euroleague this year???? But hey, pao is a big favour for winning it!

Greek football needs new investors, with big money and a mood to build something new....and clean (like p.x. Aggelopoulos in basketball)! I think that people like kokalis, vardis have given all they had to give and should step aside. Can expect only moderate(at best) things from them! Teams like aek, paok are just "mikarainoun" with their management of the past and present years....Everyone wants to collect without give....And let's just don't talk about other teams of super-league......

Wise proverb says "the fish smells from the head!"
