Rockafeller Skank
The qualification was not lost today. It was lost because Fortounis didn't play vs Kossovo.

Antaeus7
So, Bosnia lost and Finland lost. Did Greece get pot 3?
jarvis1981
Slovenia deserved the point. They played a smart game knowing that they a great keeper and that Greece has limited talent on the offensive side. Good teams would smoke Slovenia by 3 goals or more. Greece has a ways to go. Boxou
yes, but do you see greece being a threat against pot 1 and 2 teams when they can't take down slovenia (pot 4) twice?
J1078
You can’t blame JVS on this one started the players he should have and made the right subs to force the attack..The one mistake maybe I would have keto two strikers instead of taking of Giakoumakis for Pavlidis..We have definitely improved under this coach but at the end of the day if we can’t top a group like this one we have no business going to group B as we would get our asses handed to us.. What does this really say about our chances in the qualifying group for the World Cup? Not good at all.. We played a good game but they need to win these types of games if they want to climb up the fifa standings.. We were undefeated and allowed 1 goal against but at the end of the day we just can’t score..

No. On the good news. Bosnia lost and Finland also lost. We are 29th in the UEFA rankings, remaning in pot 3.
Boxou
btw unlike what people might think greece played a rather good game but proved once again that they are absolutely bad in front of the net. mitroglou needs to find a team next transfer window and sort of solve the problem.
Athens4
Σκατά με φράουλες. Ήθελα να γράψω οτι η πρόκριση χάθηκε με το Κοσοβό στην Αθήνα αλλα και πάλι για την νίκη θα παίζαμε σήμερα. The problem is the amount of foreign players allowed in the Greek league. There needs to be a rule that ensures at least 6 of the players in the starting line up are Greek. The reason this match was a final was beause his selections in the matchday 1 vs Slovenia and matchday 4 vs Kosovo ended up in us not winning. When Slovenia is playing for literally 2 results it's twice as easy to manage the game.

Coach lost it. We literally had the easiest group in League C.

La Mendel
Player ratings: Vlachodimos - wasnt really tested (0) Mavrias - was average (2.5) Hatzidiakos - was okay until that red card (2.5) Tzavellas - won a couple of headers (2.5) Tsimikas - okay but nothing really spectacular (3) Zeca - tried hard (2.5) Bakasetas - a shot, and some good ideas, but that was all (2.5) Kourbelis - he was not a jot better than Bouchalakis against Moldova (2.5) Limnios - skilled but was ultimately useless today (2.5) Giakoumakis - hardly touched the ball in the last 15 minutes of the first half (1.5) Fortounis - he should have been CAM during this campaign, good passes (3) Subs: Pavlidis was better than Giakoumakis, but not that much - and he also couldnt score (2), Tzolis was not above average (2), Masouras fought hard but he also couldnt dish out an assist or to score (-), Kyriakopoulos was on the pitch for 2 minutes (-). Van T Schip organized the team and we got some fine results but we will perhaps lose our Pot 3 position because of his Bakasetas mania. But for that hole in his conception, we could have won the second Kosovo game (I mean Fortounis would have converted that penalty). A good overall display from the team in Nations League, but results were not that great. Overall JVS is an okay coach even if he makes strange decisions (he practically kicked Manolas Siovas Papastathopoulos out of the squad, he chooses Bakasetas as team captain, penalty taker and regular CAM, uses unreliable Tzavellas as a center back) but we could not won this easy group.
La Mendel
Okay, I see now that we are in Pot 3. I guess this is some result - with an Anastasiadis type of coach we would have sunk into Pot 4.

Ellada2004
Slovenia defended like the great Greek teams of old. Credit to them.
J1078
It’s hard to rate if Slovenia’s defence is that good, I mean who did they beat? Moldova and Kosovo and we already know we have a hard time scoring against the weakest of teams.. They do have a world class goalie but if it was any other team that can score I think they beat them by a couple of goals tonight..
Greekoz
How many times did Tzavellas pass back to the keeper under no pressure? Its infuriating. Anyway the only real difference with the Van Schip team compared to Anastasiadis is we play with more intensity now, you can see the effort is there but ultimately we lack the talent to get these results...we were never scoring tonight!
