Greece needs to find a way to finish plays better. They are keeping the ball longer than in the past which is good but THE FINISH still needs work. Even that second goal was a bit lucky as it deflected off a Georgian foot. Still a good play to take advantage of a give-a-way. On to Sweden.

Georgian coach played for a tie IMO the whole game. He was probably just trying to save his job. Don't feel sorry for Georgia - unlike what the commentator stated. Good win Sweden - Greece game is now huge.

No kidding. Greece have little concept of how to finish. That player should have shot the ball but if he going to pass in the box it has to be a sure pass with enough pace to get to his player. This may be a team with some youth but they have to show some promise at some point so they can see a future.

Yes Georgia outplayed Greece down the stretch. More chances and better finishing. Georgia is not a bad team but they are far from being a serious team that may qualify. Greece should have scored in the 1st and then let Georgia come out of their shell and capitalize on the counter. This team needs a Gekas type player. One who just had the nose for the goal. It didn't have to be a perfect set up but he would find a way to direct it with some pace on goal. Someone stated that Greece has to win out in order to qualify. If they don't then they have to look at the 2026 world cup and Fortunis is gone by then. A very bleak outlook.

The problem with this team is that there are players who think they are better than than really are. Guys going 1 on 3, losing the ball with minor pressure, not being able to string together 3 passes on a consistent basis. Somebody has to step up or Georgia is going to find a way to win this.

Slovenia deserved the point. They played a smart game knowing that they a great keeper and that Greece has limited talent on the offensive side. Good teams would smoke Slovenia by 3 goals or more. Greece has a ways to go.

Yes, because you have to be able to hit the net from inside the box. Great set up there but to no avail. Greece has to send all the men up for the last 10 minutes. A tie means nothing.

Greece are too inconsistent on attack. They have one good play then can't make an easy pass on the next time around. You need to keep the pressure on to break through here. Still 20 minutes left.

Slovenia are playing back and have decided that Greece don't have the skill up front to beat them. It's up to Greece to prove them wrong. Have to be careful for the counter punch.

I agree with you completely on this. The Canadian government could get rid of a large expense (bureaucracy -EI and Welfare admins) and give money to the people who will spend it in the economy while not reducing incentive to work like welfare does. It won't happen though. Why? You can't get kickbacks from average individuals who need the funds while you can get kickbacks from large corporations who use tax havens. Air Canada is now on the list for getting government funds. My bet is that it's a done deal.
