Blackhawk Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 The Taremi rumors were clearly media manipulations by his agent to drive up the price, and Michel did not bite.
italosPAOK4 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Matheus is in Thessaloniki probably going through medical tests and will likely sign tomorrow. i just heard on radio that probably he will be announced tomorrow :)
pash Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I think it's much more likely that we'd make an attempt for Verdi, personally. Either way, we need these three strikers. Can't keep playing wingers as CFs when cards/injuries/fatigue start to take over...
Pontos Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I was watching a Serie A season review and saw Verdi star in a game for Carpi. If that game was anything to go by I hope we go after him hard
pash Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 We'll find out more about him very soon - tomorrow (today for you Austrians) is the deadline for Carpi, before new bids can be entertained. If the rumors are right, we'll be set to splurge a bit on a striker - I doubt Verdi is splurge-worthy, however. Too young/inexperienced.
pash Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Apparently the boss over at Steaua is now saying he wants EUR 2mm for Varela. Seems there are rumors of Olympiakos wanting him as well, which is driving up the price. I think we should look somewhere else if they really want that kind of cash.
Blackhawk Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Rumors are we are close to signing Jose Angel Crespo, the 29-year old Spaniard CB that is currently on loan to Rayo Vallecano from Aston Villa.
pash Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Wasn't this the guy who gave up some crazy number of goals last year or the year before? Varela has also said that he hasn't spoken to anyone from Olympiakos. It would be a real kick in the pants if we try to pull a Lucas/Deportivo and...fail.
Bananas Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 There is nothing wrong with spending 2 million on a player, as long as they're worth it. At that price, they must be 100% starting material and clearly be an upgrade in whatever position they play. The question is, are any of these players worth it ?
paokarag4 Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Apparently Mateous deal has fallen through due to $. Lets see how the rest of today plays outhttp://www.paok24.com/podosfairo/72075/arnitiki-tropi-me-mateous
pash Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I am not at all unhappy about that. Looks like Carpi did not move on Verdi. Pescara (returning to Serie A next season) and Dynamo Kiev are reportedly also interested. Kiev is going straight to the CL group stage, however, so if they're serious about him then I think we have very little chance of actually getting him.
Bananas Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Agree about Mateous. I am not keen about this signing and won't mind if it falls through. They guy is 33 years old and I'd be surprised if he has 90 minutes in him week in week out. Maybe he could be another Vukic, that is, a super substitute, but I'd rather we get someone younger or give one of our younger players more game time.
Bananas Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Back to more important issues. What is happening with signing a quality CB ? If this ever happens, I'm going to get a bottle of scotch, strip down to my underwear and start dancing tsiftetelia. 1
pash Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Now here's an interesting one... http://www.transfermarkt.com/victor-ibarbo/profil/spieler/92141 Competing with PAO, Oly, and Valencia, apparently.
BostonThanatos Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Where'd you read that? I think it's pretty safe to assume that it's utter nonsense.
PAOKSWEDEN Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Where'd you read that? I think it's pretty safe to assume that it's utter nonsense. Here's the article http://www.gazzetta.gr/football/article/941696/sfina-toy-paok-gia-viktor-imparmpo-lene-stin-italia 1
PAOKSYD Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 I really feel the club is in the right hands with savidis and feel that with investment in the youth we will continue to produce good young products. But isit enough?? Come on i want 4 quality signings come on
pash Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Seems Maccabi is interested in Tzavellas. SELL HIM. Throw in Tziolis for free. Verdi seems very unwilling to leave Italy for Greece, I don't blame him. 1
Dutch Eagle Posted June 24, 2016 Author Posted June 24, 2016 25-year old CB Lukas Rotpuller from Austria Vienna is linked to us. He has played 101 for Austria and is a former youth-international of (the real) Austria. 1
Blackhawk Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Savvidis (the player) and Pozoglou were told to find themselves a team to play on.
