But isnt that Turkish at the same level of Paok? Maybe lower?

The club is below PAOK's level but the league is better. The problem is the costs, he would probably cost between 6 and 8 million euro. Add a million or two for his sign-on bonus and then about 1 million/year. Savvidis has never spent such money before on a transfer.

Mak will probably get sold, but his clause is only 4 million. The best would be if we can extend Mak's contract and put a higher clause, but that's not likely.

This is crazy talk.  If PAOK spends 500K on a player we expect him to be a superstar, and now we're talking about buying a player for 6 million.  No way.  As far as I know we've only every spent "serious" money (not including loans) on Lucas, Leovac and Cimirot.

Makes no sense to talk about player acquisitions, when you don't even have a coach in place for next season, unless Ivic will be the chosen one.

I had completely forgot Lucas. If we can get 6-7 million from a potential transfer of his and 4 for Mak then maybe Savvidis will spend 10-15 on transfers this summer. Of course, that's just wishful thinking but with 10 million or more in transfer income we should be able to $pend.

Lucas is signed to Deportivo though, do you guys have a % of his future transfer fee?

Next person of interest:

Tomas Andrade. 18 years old Argentinian. He went to Spain and played for Barcelona and Atletico when he was 10. Returned to Argentina and plays for River Plate.

Pablo Contreras came to Thesaloniki today. Apparently he suggested to PAE PAOK the following Colo Colo Santiago players:

Paolo Guarces (31) - goalkeeper

Claudio Baeza (22) - defensive midfielder

Rafael Caroca (26) - defensive midfielder

They sound like players that Levadeiakos or Asteras Tripoli would sign.

Bingo, 30%.

Barca is interested in Lucas. According to the rumors they want him badly for EUR 20 mio.

With 30% this means about 6 mio for us.

If only .........

The transfer of Leo Matos is a serious possibility or even a fact:

1. LubosMichel knows the club as he was technical manager at Shakhtar

2. His club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk as not allowed to play in Europe next season

3. Matos has ended his contract yesterday

1+1+1 could be 3

If we lose Leovac, I can see us grabbing another LB. But if he stays, why would we get him? We're already three deep at that position.

how about a fvcking coach? Unless Ivic is it, or there is a secret agreement with one who is making these decisions..... get a damn coach in a timely manner, and make moves fast. After this $hit show one month delay for playoffs, our seasons begins in early/mid July again.....

The league sets up its teams to fail.  How the hell are teams suppoesed to succeed in European play, if we start playoff games in mid May, and the last actual match is in June?  Games begin in July for 2/5 teams in Europe, then shortly after another 2/5 have to play.....

Apparently Matos is allready signed up. Official announcements to be made after the playoffs.

He is able to play as RB and LB and even as a RM. With that in mind, I think some of our right backs will bid us goodbye. My money is on Skondras and Konstantinidis.

Those two are logical for us to drop. But Transfermarkt lists Matos as predominantly a left back...

Eitherbeay left or right back. I feel we have starte correctly a player with seasons and experianxe under his belt and the ukranian league is better than ours and much better than the croatian league wereleovacs came from. So a very positive start ets hope it continue and we bring even better players in the next moves

Bosnian left back Bojan Letic playing in Zilina (Slovakia) rumoured to us for 1,9 million. InPAOK are saying his salary would be 700k/year, which I don't believe as that's what we are offering Mak.
