You know, I never thought to ask one of my favorite questions in here. So I figured I'd do it and add my own responses. Perhaps this will give me good ideas for the future.

What are your top three "bucket list" vacations?

Could be anything. Just please don't say "chillin' in the horio"

Here are mine (in no particular order):

• Monaco Grand Prix - I want to see it, smell it, taste it. And I want to spend those days *in* the city, not taking a bus or train there for a few hours at a time. Maybe I'll throw my used Rolexes into the port, while I'm at it.
• Octoberfest - I know that people say it kind of sucks in real life. But I like beer, and Germany, and and Germans who give me beer. This is not exactly the most original idea, I know.
• I'd like to rent a Swiss chalet, complete with hot tub, and spend a Christmas holiday there. There must be snow, booze, and possibly ski bunnies involved.

2. Machu Pichu 

3. Iceland

I heard that a lot of the Machu Pichu complex was built relatively recently (within the last hundred years). Basically reconstructions of what it would have looked like? But I've also heard it's an absolutely wild trip to take

I feel it's gotta be Oktoberfest. Midwestern boy, affinity for the Czechs (which is close enough!). You probably own lederhosen (and look damn good in them).

I don't own lederhosen but will get a pair when I make the trip to Munich.  And you're right it's Oktoberfest. It's been in the plans for a while and will be a part of Oktoberfest/Czech Republic extravaganza.
