Tomorrow is the deadline for PAOK to submit to EUFA the list of 25 players players for the remainder of the 2024-2025 Europa League season. Of the 25 players, 8 have to be "locally grown" players which means that we have to select 17 foreign based players to include on the list. Currently we have 21 foreign base players, which means 4 will have to be cut from European games.

Our foreign based players are:

Kotarski
Baba
Kedziora
Otto
Sastre
Camara
Murg
Ozdoev
Schwab
Shoretire
Gomez
Vieirinha
Chalov
Despodov
Samatta
Taison
Tissoudali
Zivkovic
Brandon
Bakayoko
Colley

Which 4 will be cut? If by any miracle we sign a new CB by tomorrow, than we will need to cut 5 players from the list.

My guesses: Samatta, Gomez, Shoretire, Ozdoev, and one of our three strikers. They should cut Vieirinha, but I doubt they would.

Samatta and Gomez are probably the two certain ones. If I had to venture a guess on the other two it would be one of Sastre/Otto and one of Murg/Brandon

It would be a huge sign of Lucescu's faith in Shoretire if he drops Murg.

I actually would have thought Otto would be a candidate to drop, because he doesn't seem to be able to consistently own that spot anyway. It worries me, though, because if both fullbacks (on each side) aren't there, then that guarantees Vieirinha will get minutes. The only time he should be playing, is as a sub in the Riga match.

Wow, they dropped Vieirinha and Murg! Nice. Samatta and Gomez out as well. I did not expect us to go into this with only one left back...

Well Otto can also play LB as well. I really thought Vieirinha would be in just to pad his European statistics. Let's just hope there are no serious injuries, especially to our CB's.

I really wanted to go but it's too last minute. Also, you need to get the coach from Toumpa directly to Turkey. No flying into Istanbul and sightseeing. I cannot believe in 2024 people are still fighting over football.

Just saw this on Sport24. Spitting distance from 11th. Olympiakos dropped points today, but PAO and PAOK won. Right now, Olympiakos looks like it will comfortably make it to the play offs (likely seeded), and Panathinaikos is a little more comfortable in their position than we are as well (their last game is against Dinamo Minsk. We have a decent chance of having all three teams make it into their respective play offs.

Norway has Molde just out of the play offs for conference league (I think they need to win vs Mlada Boleslav to get in). Bodo Glimt will definitely be in the playoffs for Europa League, and probably will be seeded. They play Maccabi and Nice, who hopefully will take some more points off them in these last games.

  • 10. Turkey 40,750 - 7,150 (4/5)
  • 11. Norway 34,000 - 6,125 (2/4)
  • 12. Greece 33,750 - 7,125 (3/4)
  • 13. Austria 33,725 - 7,125 (4/5)
  • 14. Switzerland 32,450 - 5,875 (3/5)
  • 15. Scotland 32,300 - 6,000 (3/5)
  • 16. Denmark 32,137 - 5,812 (2/4)
  • 17. Israel 31,625 - 2,875 (1/4)
  • 18. Poland 30,875- 7,625 (2/4)
  • 19. Croatia 26,525 - 5,375 (1/4)
  • 20. Serbia 24,675 - 2,900 (2/5)

Updated projection percentages for PAOK's advancement in Europe League

7 points - 1%

8 points - 32%

9 points - 95%

10 points - 99%

So basically, beat Praha at home, and we advance. Get 2 ties and we should advance as well.

Pretty soon 3 teams would make champions league and Athens Kallithea would be our representative in Europa League 🤣
