PAOK in Europe 2024-2025 (News, Draws, Rankings)

Recommended Posts

Yes you can drop two leagues from Q2 or Q3 CL (W-L-L or L-L-W or L-W-L). There was no double drop available in Q1 (as losers dropped immediately to Conference League) and there is no drop in League Stage like it used to be in the formerly Group Stage.

And the same draw if we drop to Europa League: Malmö/KÍ - PAOK/Borac Banja Luka but this concerns the losers. Even the order of the home and away leg are the same.

Not a bad draw, but we could have gotten Jagellonia, which would have been better. The only thing that worries me is that Malmo is in the middle of their season with 16 game under their belt. I don't think we will have any major problems with them, but then again we thought the same about Ostersunds.

Malmo up 3-0 at HT

FT 4-1.

Must beat all opponents if we want to reach the league stage. Malmö has a coefficient of 18.500. In the play offs the lowest unseeded has 28.000 .......

This is all the more reason not to wet ourselves at the idea of playing them. Malmo played a bad team, and beat them. We are about to play a slightly less bad team, and we probably will have a similar result. Then we will crush Malmo.

Here are the top twenty leagues, btw. We made up a few points relative to Scotland, but still have a hill to climb. I believe the points for teams that qualified directly to their respective league stages are already included here, so Scotland already got their boost.

VERY important for us to have four teams making the group stages of these competitions. Not gonna make progress otherwise.

Last year was our best year in a very long time - hopefully we keep the momentum going....

The only good thing about having 4 teams this year instead of 5, is each win is worth more. Let's see how many points we can rack up before the Groups.

The Bonus points are included - would have thought OLY would have gotten some bonus pts for making the automatic group of Europa but I guess that's just for CL.

I've been trying to talk PaokCT off a cliff here.

I watched about half of this game. Malmo is nothing special (they definitely didn't look better than Ki). We definitely, definitely can take them (even without Tissoudali and Chalov).

Also not all that worried about tomorrow's game - Lucescu is a master of manipulating his players and getting their head in the right place. I expect to see a better game, and have our guys come in hot vs Borac.

The draw for the Playoff round of the Champions League takes place on Monday. The winner of the PAOK - Malmo matchup will be among seeded teams. Here are the seeding for the draw:

SEEDED TEAMS

Red Star Beograd SRB 40.000
winner PAOK Thessaloniki - Malmo FF   37.000
winner Ferencvaros Budapest - Midtjylland   35.000
Young Boys Berne SUI 34.500

UNSEEDED TEAMS

winner Qarabag FK - Ludogorets Razgad   33.000

winner Slovan Bratislava - APOEL Nicosia   30.500
winner Bodo Glimt - Jagellonia Bialystok   28.500

If we manage to eliminate Malmo, we will face one of the teams from the unseeded section.
