Ethnikos
I've seen some PAOK training videos on YouTube, any idea who the kid with the bleach blonde buzzcut is? He looks exactly like Slim Shady :)

RED SHERIFF
How is this for a line up. Glykos Matos -- Crespo -- Tzevallas -- Leovac Cimirot -- Shakhov Mak -- Biseswar -- Rodrigues Klaus Bench: Vellidis, Chatzi, Kace, Charisis, Pelkas, Mystakidis, Pereyra. I am not sold on Tzavellas as a CD
Bananas
I am not sold on Tzavellas as a CD I wasn't, then I wasn't, then I wasn't, then I was. I think for the GSL he's fine. May get caught out in higher level EL games though. If by some miracle we roll a 20 on a 20 sided die and we qualify for CL, he probably is not at that level. I think the fact that he's our best CB (in my opinion) speaks volumes of the quality of our defense. Edited July 1, 2016 by Bananas
Blackhawk
Tomorrow Ivic decides who is going to the training camp in Holland and who stays behind. We'll get some good indications on who will need to start looking for new team to get playing time.
paokarag4
Don't think there will be any real surprises with who goes to Holland, I expect all senior players to go and the "usual suspects" from the younger brigade. The ones that will be dropped will be some of the kids and he might take one or 2 with the rest of the team just so they can experience a proper pre-season
pash
So after having seen these two matches, I think some of our stronger players are becoming more obvious, and a lineup is shaking itself out. --Glykos-- --Matos--Crespo--Tzavellas--Leovac-- --Cimirot--Shakhov--Charisis-- --Rodrigues--Klaus--Pereyra-- Pelkas has been more impressive than Mistakidis so far, and Koulouris has also looked good (although Pelkas is more likely to unseat one of the wingers than Koulouris is to unseat Klaus). I'm still not sure who the best CB pairing will be, but Leovac is 100% going to be the starter, and Matos is overwhelmingly likely to walk in over Kitsiou. For once, it feels like we have actual depth. Apart from striker, we've got options at least two deep for each position. This feels weird.
BostonThanatos
If Mak and Kace come back, I think things start to become interesting with Charissis and Pereyra fighting for the spots. If the (doubtful) Pato transfer goes through, then we're a little top heavy, I'm guessing Klaus is put on the market, or Koulouri is loaned out again. PAOKSYD
Koulouris is ready to stay. Cmirok is expected to have a big season, harissis has a lot of work to do to start and ee have good wingers in rodrigues, dlajma, jairo and mystakidis. If we sign a striker and a centre back we have a good squad with our best coach since santos and i think we can start dreaming again
BostonThanatos
I think it's a little soon to proclaim anything about the coach. So far, he's made all the logical choices, and worked with what he had. Time will be the true judge.
PAOKSYD
We havent had a logical coach since santos. I just hope the backroom stay united and the results will come. Ivic has got it.

Bananas
We havent had a logical coach since santos. I just hope the backroom stay united and the results will come. Ivic has got it. We haven't had a stable coach during Savvidis "reign". Huub, Donis and Anastasiadis all lost the dressing room by the Xmas break or shortly thereafter. It will be refreshing to have a manager that can firstly stay a whole season, and possible complete a second season. Blackhawk
Another update: GOALKEEPER Brkic Glykos Vellidis (Melissis) (Siabanis) DEFENSE RB Matos Kitsiou Konstantinidis (Crespo) CB TRANSFER? Crespo Tzavellas Malezas Chatziisaias Poggouras LB Leovac Gianoulis (Matos) (Tzavellas) (Crespo) MIDFIELD DEFENSIVE MID Canas Tziolis Kace (Charisis) OFFENSIVE MID Sakhov Charisis Cimirot (Biseswar) OFFENSE RW Djalma Campos Rodrigues Mystakidis DEKARI Biseswar Pelkas (Pereyra) LW Mak TRANSFER (if Mak leaves) Pereyra Jairo CENTER FORWARD TRANSFER? Klaus Koulouris Players in bold are the starters in my opinion. Players that left for good: Vitor, Berbatov, Golasa Players loaned:
Blackhawk
Counting Mak and Kace we have a roster of 33 players in the training camp right now. Obviously this will be cut down to 27-28 players, which means 5 to 6 players will be cut right before the first CL qualifying game. I believe we are done making transfers right now. At least until the CL qualifying games are completed. What players will be cut?
pash
I think Konstantinidis' days are numbered. I also can't see that most of the kids from the U20s are going to last either, we'll probably see all of them get loaned out. I've read that Chatziisaias hasn't looked so hot at training, which might bode poorly for him. I think releasing him would be a mistake, though. Blackhawk
You're probably right. In my opinion these will be the players that will be cut from the top squad: Melissas (loan or relesed) Siabanis (U20) Konstantinidis (loan) Chatziisaias (loan if we sign a top notch CB) Jairo (loan if Mak stays) Dimitriadis (U20) Korovesis (loan or release)
Dutch Eagle
Stelios Pozoglou will be loaned to Cypriotic club Karmiotissa (Pano) Polemidion. Don't know that club but they play at the highest level after their promotion last year. Edited July 16, 2016 by Dutch Eagle

kozi
Hi boys, another lifelong sufferer joining the ranks. Anyway looks like the first time in a long time we have a settled squad before the start of the season. The good thing is we have genuine replacements for each position on the pitch. I expect to see the following lineup (4-2-3-1) after a couple of weeks of preparation... BrkicMatos:Crespo:Varela:Leovac Canas:ShakovDjalma:Biesewar:Rodrigues KlausWith direct replacements... GlykosKitsiou:Malezas:Hatzisaias:Tzavellas Cimirot:Kace Jairo:Pelkas:Facundo Koulouris Hopefully this means we don't see the likes of Tzioli too often this season. pash
Welcome kozi! Great to have you. I think your second post should be a series of compliments about me. I'd agree with your post, but I think Mistakidis is far better than Jairo (and I'm currently having a panic attack about our cutting him in the coming days).
