Bananas Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Are you guys going to buy Varela? Any news about that? He would be such a solid centre back, a much needed player for you guys The Steau president is playing hard ball and wants 2 million.
paokarag4 Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) I thought Tzavellas had re-signed during last season? i might be wrong, im sure blackhawk will know Edited July 8, 2016 by paokarag4
pash Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I hadn't heard that, interesting. In other news, Savvidis has signed with Panionios (PAOK retains rights to 30% of his resale value), for two years. I believe they got him for free. Varela is no longer training due to what seems to be a somewhat serious injury (out for at least a month?). I can't see us continuing to pursue him now.
Pontos Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Someone's gotta give, as blackhawk said. We'll see who. There are more transfer rumors of a second Romanian guy that we're after. Personally, I don't think we're as desperate in that position as others think. Klaus/Koulouris to start, and Pereyra/Mistakidis/Jairo all can theoretically play there. More than theoretically for Pereyra in fact, since Anastasiadis had played him as CF for like half of that season. We def need another CB though. A good one. Care to elaborate? Is this just to keep pressure on those-who-would-think-themselves-shoo-ins? Sorry, my sarcasm must have been as obvious as I thought. I think it's terrible 1
Pontos Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Varela? Pfft... We need more goalkeepers you silly Billy's
Blackhawk Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Tzavellas did not renew his contract, but he will, since he is a close buddy with the owners son. I expect a new 3-year deal. Tziolis's contract was automatically renewed for one more season until 2017. Skondras is gone, and would not be surprise me if Glykos is gone as well. If not now than in the winter.
Dutch Eagle Posted July 9, 2016 Author Posted July 9, 2016 We are apperantly serious looking at the possibilities of signing the former Milan and Chelsea player Alexandre Pato!!! He is currently playing at Corinthians.
Akritis_1944 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 That would be a massive bam. I doubt it happens though. 1
BostonThanatos Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 That transfer would change the level of play on the team entirely.
pash Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Apparently he rejected Lazio. He probably thinks he can get a CL club to bite, methinks.
pash Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Canas is in Thessaloniki to complete his medical, apparently his club has also agreed to release him (no transfer fee).
pash Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 saki mou, say something nice about him i like feeling hope
BostonThanatos Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 He went from Market Value $5M to $3.5 rather quickly, and was released by Espanyol. Any injuries or info?
BostonThanatos Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 saki mou, say something nice about him i like feeling hope He's played in La Liga and Premier league, so that's good. :D
pash Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Seems he parted ways with Swansea when they told him they just didn't want him anymore. Man, have I been there. Often. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2739756/Swansea-ready-offload-Jose-Canas-Garry-Monk-leaves-Hull-chase-5m-Andre-Ayew.html 3
Bajewy Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 So I was just reading pato's wiki... 1. Looks like he's often injured (sometimes months at a time) 2.he parties so much that his hot Brazilian wife divorced him. If this guy comes to Greece it'll be a disaster. Like he'd probably die from the

PAOKSYD Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Yesterday i read an article hes dad wanted him to come on loan back to australia in the a-league.
Akritis_1944 Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Yeah he should come back to the A-League so his dad can tell anyone who'll listen to him how Greece is a worse standard than Western Sydney Wankers (the irony).
Bananas Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 If Antonis has half a brain, he'll stay in Greece and actually learn at a higher level. 1
