If we had been able to hold on at Kosovo we would be 1pt behind Sweden and if we didn’t have such an uninspired performance in Greece vs Georgia we could be on 13pts level with Spain with a game in hand.2 points
-
If you want to be like that, then that was really a handball in the box too.2 points

Am I happy we won yes, did we deserve it no way in hell. We didn’t really offer much going forward. Masouras and Pavlidis didn’t link up well at all. This 3-4-3 doesn’t work with the players he decides to deploy in it. I lost count of how many times we’d regain possession to only have 2 players past half and no options for transitioning to attack. Tzolis needs to start plain and simple especially against teams like Georgia who sit back he has the skill needed to score a goal on a solo effort.2 points

JVS got the starting line up right today. NT played well in first half. I think we were lucky in 2nd half but I’ll take it. I think defence was solid today. Androutsos did well at RB. Only negative is we will have Tzavelas out of Sweden game after a yellow card. Now we go to Sweden, for what will be like a final.2 points

And you guys were worried.?2 points

Ya Greece would have been in the drivers seat if we won those two games especially after claiming a huge point in Spain. Where no one else will get anything in Spain I believe. I am optimistic about our chances in Sweden I believe the Ethniki will be ready for them, Sweden are a good tough side but they are no France, Germany or Italy we can take 3 points from them.1 point
-
Spot on, those 4 points were wasted in the garbage. The next two matches vs. Sweden and Spain were going to be acceptable to grab 2 points from there. Still, Greece got a chance to beat both of them. Big advantage is they are the heavy underdogs and Greece thrives in these situations.1 point
-
Also right now they’re a plus 7. We’re a plus 3. We win 0 2 were both plus 51 point
-
If we win out we go through. Plus I’ll take being tied with them on points on the last day when Sweden play in Spain and we host Kosovo1 point

Nova Sports post game commentary saying are back line was solid today.1 point

Dude i was so stressed i really thought we weren't going to score. HUGE WIN now it comes down to the Sweden game on Tuesday.1 point

Greece needs to find a way to finish plays better. They are keeping the ball longer than in the past which is good but THE FINISH still needs work. Even that second goal was a bit lucky as it deflected off a Georgian foot. Still a good play to take advantage of a give-a-way. On to Sweden.1 point
-
Georgian coach played for a tie IMO the whole game. He was probably just trying to save his job. Don't feel sorry for Georgia - unlike what the commentator stated. Good win Sweden - Greece game is now huge.1 point

Where are all the Bakasetas haters now?1 point

Pelkas the steal, the chip, and THE GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a play!1 point

Var didn’t take it away. The ball was actually out. Call it like it is.1 point
-
I think we're playing fine, if not for VAR we'd be winning. We'll get there if we keep playing like this.1 point
-
Pavlidis is garbage. Bring on Douvikas or Tzolis for him as well as Alexandropoulos for siopis. We are letting Georgia keep possession instead of pressing them.1 point
-
A building collapsed in Batumi killing at least eight people. The Georgian FA wanted to postpone the game what was denied. The GFA then decided the game should be played without fans.1 point
-
How is that not a penalty?1 point
-
Great, a goal taken away. Screw you VAR!1 point
-
As usual, the coach we have started with has been a failure and and such, Milojevic has agreed to take an offer from Saudi Arabia! We look for a new coach again, Manolo Jimenez and Georgios Donis the front runners1 point

we need Tzolis. douvikas, masouras and Fat phil1 point

2:0 away win against Belarus with Diamantis and Sardelis scoring the goals. With this win we go to the top of the table but other teams played less games. Next game is against Cyprus away on 12.10.2021 Standings after todays game: 1. Greece 8 (4 games) 2. Cyprus 7 (3) 3. Portugal 6 (2) 4. Iceland 4 (3) 5. Belarus 0 (3) 6. Liechtenstein 0 (4) The 2 ties against Cyprus (home) and Iceland (away) will probably cost us the qualification from this group.1 point

I have a nervous feeling too because, traditionally, Greece has stunk the joint against weaker teams while rising to the occasion against equal or stronger ones. It boggles my mind. But, hopefully, given the do or die nature of this game, they surprise us tomorrow.1 point
-
This is the quietest I have seen this forum the day before a must win match for Hellas. I hope its not a sign of people having given up, but rather, nervous anticipation.1 point
-
Reports were saying he is going with 3-5-2 like he did vs Sweden for this match... not a fan1 point
-
I was listening to a radio show Dokari Kai Mesa and they were saying Tzavellas may be unfit and that Staf would start in his place? I hope that is not the case. JVS better just go after Georgia and attack and press them hard and put the game away early. They are missing a couple starting players on their backline one is injured and the other is out due to suspension and their right back is there weak link so we need to expose that side. I hope he starts the in form Masouras!1 point
-
Kyriakos Papadopoulos also ruled out of these 2 qualifiers with an injury. Not sure if JVS will call up someone else as he still has 4 CB's in the squad (Tzavellas, Xatzidiakos, Mavropanos and he has previously played Stafylidis there) There will be no replacement called for Zeca.1 point
-
JVS you are right vs Georgia it was a poor performance but you have to get your tactics and player selections right this time! We need the WIN!!1 point
-
I like Alexandropoulos he has a bright future. Losing Zeca is a big loss more so when we play Sweden. He did a great job last game against them in tracking there dangerous players.1 point
-
I would rather see Alexandropoulos start. He is the future and the now for me. He can do it all. His age shouldn’t matter. I would also put Siopis next to him.1 point
-
This game for some reason worries me, We tend to see Greece make it so much harder on themselves when they play these type of teams. JVS better have this team pressing and not allow them to take their foot off the gas as we saw what happened in the first game with Georgia and the last minute goal we conceded vs Kosovo. JVS better not have a defensive line up in this game.1 point
-
I think they will do well, right now there are many weak teams in the SLGR and any team that takes the right step to a good build up will do well, I think they will be in the top half, interesting to see how it pans out. Ps - yes, would be good if they can do something about their stadium1 point

Looks like VAR has denied a Kosovo equalizer in Solna0 points
