Sokratis has to play in the Bosnia game. His presence is a plus. Greece needs to keep the ball moving on offense. If Mitro is not 100 percent then he should sit. No point in playing for 10 minutes then coming off. If I recall this has happened before. Good luck to Greece in Game 2.3 points

Donis should be the first name on the game sheet every game. Dangerous from anywhere. Masouras was wasteful with his chances but has some serious potential. Samaris and zeca played well especially samaris. Fortounis also had some very nice moments. Bakasetas and kolovos are both train wrecks.3 points

Was impressed by Siovas/Kourbelis - not so much for their defending bc they didn't have much to defend (did their job when they had to) but their ability to bring the ball up and their passing was good. Masouras wasted so many chances but he's fast and got to the ball, eventually they will fall in. Bakesetas took one shot from far out and you could see the coach cursing at him. Overall, Greece did what they had to, Masouras/Donis on the wings give us potential to counter. You will be able to see their potential more with teams that attack. The one time we countered, they were so quick out there and brought the ball down the pitch so fast (we didn't score but still, you can see the potential).2 points

Bakasetas ruined so many attacks. He cant control the ball, cant hit the target, and couldn't make a simple pass. I cant understand why he gets in the lineup, he is the new Tziolis.2 points

Bakaseta better not be a starter against Bosnia. someone else should have came on for kolovos2 points

Good performance from the Ethniki. Lets hope we can repeat it against the Bosnians.2 points

Masouras and Donis can be dangerous for us2 points

I am preferring our play and team selection under Anastasiadis so far. If Mitroglou had not gotten injured so early we would be up one or two more.2 points

Coach puts in a no name winger for a mid table Cypriot club instead of the top scorer in the Greek super league. Bravo.2 points

They just said Mitro came out for precaution as he doesn’t want to make it worse for the Bosnia game..2 points

I think we all agree, need to start calling up more skillful players like Fetfa and Lambrou over Bakasetas types2 points

Lineup is fine would be better without Bak. I agree how does he get in over Donis?? Really? Lets get a dominant win... PA ME ELLAS!!!2 points

WTF...… Are you kidding me Bakashit over Donis are you kidding me??? He choose to go with the guy that is getting booed at by the AEK fans.. I don't get this at all. We have been waiting for Donis to be healthy to be a regular starter and then he doesn't start him...2 points

Reported starting XI -------------------Vlaxodimos Bakakis------Siovas----Risvanis/Kourbelis----Koutris --------------------Samaris-----Zeca----- Donis----------Fortounis----------Masouras/Bakestas --------------------Mitro No real surprises if that's how we line up. Hopefully Masouras gets the nod of Bakestas. The only minor concern I have is if Risvanis does start then we have two slowish center backs playing, I don't know the first thing about Liechtenstein's team but if they have anyone with some pace it could cause us some headaches on the breaks. Regardless I'm still confident we'll win and win comfortably. 2 or 3-0 is my bet.2 points

I would hope Sokratis is ready for Bosnia. I believe he will be. Manolas missing another crucial game. The backline, which is our strongest and deepest position, by far, is also our most fragile. Once again depleted, with the likes of Manolas, Papadopoulos, Retsos, Torosidis, Stafylidis and perhaps Sokratis out. It's becoming a bad joke.2 points

Bakasetas of course, and by God he better not play one single minute on the field again.1 point

Greece dominated this game well done. Siovas was great love this guy. Fortounis is a player with offensive class. Donis comes in and scores a stunning goal, Masouras delivered a nice ball to him and he had chances to get a goal himself. Lichenstein are the Canada of the group and when they come back to Greece we have to put 5 goals on the board.1 point

I thought you were joking! Actually the long ball up the middle is a new play for us. Used to just be the cross into the middle.1 point

Guys stop bringing up Mitroglou. 1. He's washed 2. Liechtenstein has a population of 30k and no domestic league. Our 2nd string squad should beat this team 3-01 point

If Mitroglou was still in game he would have a goal for sure1 point

Bakasetas off!!! Thank god!! Should get Koulouris on given how many chances we are missing1 point

Why is the leading scorer for the Greek Super League sitting on the bench for a team who struggles with scoring?1 point
-
Agreed. Need to show other teams that Greece can be a real threat in the offensive end. Can't have all goals on set plays and long balls.1 point

I like our spirit under Anastasiadis. Skibbes teams were always lukewarm and sloppy.1 point

May I also suggest that as the team gets close to the LIE box that they pass to the team in white. Too many passes missed guys by a lot.1 point

Yeah great ball by Kourbelis and excellent finish by Fortounis.1 point

What a finish by Fortounis! Great ball in by Kourbelis1 point

Anyone else find it weird that mitroglou wasn’t singing the national anthem and was standing 3 feet away from closest teammate. Already looked disinterested1 point

I agree I like the starting line up except for Bakasteas. he choose to start someone out of position instead of an inform winger we've all been waiting for to be healthy and a regular starter for the NT.1 point

Anyone know any good websites to watch the game online don’t want to pay to watch if possible? Also pame Ellada !!! Kali Arxi !!!1 point

These line-ups are what's rumoured Option 1 3 5 2 (Paschalakis) Vlachodimos Siovas-Kourbelis-Risvanis Bakakis-Samaris-Zeca-Koutris Fortounis Mitroglou-Koulouris Option 2 4 2 3 1 (Paschalakis) Vlachodimos Bakakis-Siovas-Risvanis-Koutris Samaris-Zeca Masouras-Fortounis-Donis Mitroglou1 point
-
One rumour is that Anastasiadis may play a 3 5 2 with Kourbelis as the CB and Siovas-Risvanis either side and 2 forwards Mitroglou-Koulouris. Midfielders will be LW Bakakis and RW Koutris and CM Zeca-Samaris and Fortounis the AM. If this is the case, it will be something new.1 point
-
I believe you. Just surprised. Karnezis had the job since 2012, was Barkas last year, but now that Vlachodimos has decided he's Greek(and he is), give him a shot. We have bigger problems if our keeper matters much against Liechtenstein anyway.1 point
-
I didn't write the article file, just stating what I read. Vlachodimos and Paschalakis are apparently the 2 fighting it out for the start. We won't know until an hour before the game which of the 3 it'll be!1 point

@DunfermlineAthleticPAOK @PAOTHEGREAT can you two start a separate thread on geopolitics and economic rationalisation elsewhere please? I'm failing to see the connection between a Canadian mining company and teams other than PAOK. Frankly the pair of you are some of the greatest topic derailers I've seen.1 point

For those who are interested Agona sport is offering the game for $7.55 us. I just ordered it.1 point
