Cup Final being the exception. This will be a very interesting game. We are playing better than expected post Prijovic. AEK (or it is AEX) have been much improved the last few games since going 3-5-2. Not sure what Lucescu will do about the midfield battle. I don’t see Canas being ready for this game so we have no kofti. If we play with two 8’s I can see AEK over running us in the midfield. Maybe Lucescu wants it that way and we play counter attacking with Akpom and Jaba using the space. I’m really not sure what the best approach is for this game. Let’s hear your theories boys. pash
Heard Canas was slightly injured again after the last match so who knows when he'll be back. I'd assume Shakhov and Mauricio would start. Shakhov has been great lately so no problem there for me
paokarag4
I'm not normally one for conspiracy theories, but the fact Canas came back and played 15-20 mins and is now "injured" again does have me raising my eyebrows as to whether it does have anything to do with his contract situation. I'm not sold on it, but I'm just... intrigued... As for the match this is a tough one, as you guys have said we have an awful record at OAKA so this won't be a walk in the park. The 3-5-2 could cause us problems especially when they are attacking they're going to outnumber us in midfield and overwhelm us. Shakhov and Mauricio are going to need to have big defensive games (not sure they're capable of doing that given they aren't "koftes") otherwise Varela/Crespo and Pasxalakis are going to need to be huge, which they have been for most of the season
Bananas
I don’t know if Shakhov has the legs to chase constantly for 90 minutes. He’s more adept at games where we control the ball. Now that I think about it I’m certain Lucescu will play Pelkas as the 10 but get him to drop back to create 3 in he middle at times. It will also be interesting to see how high a line AEK play. Seeing Jaba on the weekend you can see you can’t give this kid space. As for conspiracy theories, there can be only one. Flat Earth all the way man. PAOKSYD
They stole the tittle from us last year, we need to go in their and smack 4 past them and sit back and watch them fight after the match, while we march on to the tittle via the pitch!! Yiankos
The funniest thing is that their main argument is that PAOK is not playing as well as last year!!! To my ears this is admittance that PAOK deserved last year's title as well. DunfermlineAthleticPAOK
That really is a truly awful record we have against them in Athens ? I hope we don't play it too conservative though. Would love to go down there and smash them. I think the players will be right up for it after last year and like the final, show them who the best team in Greece are. Get the win and then all focus on Gavros.
pash
Terrible record but we can beat them. Should be a more open match than vs Giannina, at least.
Bananas
I’m assuming the referee is from overseas ? That should help with players carrying on like imbeciles. At least now if we score a goal it won’t be disallowed 5 minutes later.

pash
My lineup. I doubt we'll be surprised: --Pashalakis-- --Matos--Varela--Crespo--Vieirinha-- --Shakhov--Mauricio-- --Jaba--Pelkas--Biseswar-- --Akpom-- Obviously expect Swiderski to make an appearance at some point. I don't think we've seen a list of players yet though, right?
