Despite the fact that UEFA organizes the European Qualifiers, they use the FIFA World Cup rules to determine the tie-breaker. So, goal difference will determine who qualifies for the auto World Cup entry or playoffs.

Ya that's why our only chance is to beat Spain and hope Spain lose or draw against Sweden the last game.

If Sweden loses today and we beat Spain, the only way forward is if we beat Kosovo and Spain and Sweden tie or Spain loses to Sweden.

 

That way Spain will end up with 13 or 14 points and we will end up with 15 in second for the playoff spot.

 

Any other scenario ends with Greece tying Sweden with 15 points each and they would go thru on GD.

Sweden have a +7 GD that they built by blasting Kosovo twice.. Sweden were totally outclassed by Georgia. Away from home they have only 1 win in the last seven and that was at Kosovo. It sucks that Greece could not get that early goal in Sweden, it would have changed the match and we would have been in a great position!

TBH we did not deserve the win vs Georgia but we were up a goal in the 75th minute. 

Had we got those wins and at least a draw last game vs Sweden then 1st place would have been attainable.

Guys we can do all the math we wont the bottom line is we need to beat Spain and Sweden has to either beat or draw Spain. if it goas to goal differentials we have no shot. We have only one path for 2nd
