pash Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 The jersey wasn't even cold... Those animals! Been seeing this rumor go around lately so will share:
pash Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 The team has announced that Mauricio's contract will not be renewed. Good luck to him as well! Looks like he's training with Vieirinha, who is still a question mark.
Blackhawk Posted August 3, 2020 Author Posted August 3, 2020 Official announcement on Mauricio: Quote Η ΠΑΕ ΠΑΟΚ ανακοινώνει ότι το συμβόλαιο του Χοσέ Μαουρίσιο δεν θα ανανεωθεί. Liked him as a player, but given his age it's better to get some young blood into the team. This also frees one spot in the foreign based players list.
pash Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 Another slot may be opening soon as well: https://inpaok.com/652118/o-paok-echei-protaseis-gia-michogevits/ Well it's not like he was going to make the team this year anyway but hopefully someone makes a good offer.
Athens4 Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 I just hope he doesn't turn out to be another Papagiannopoulos.
Dutch Eagle Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Symeon Papadopoulos has signed for Volos with a free transfer.
Dutch Eagle Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Nika Ninua, a 21-year midfielder from Dinamo Tbilisi will sign a three year contract tomorrow when he arrives in Thessaloniki.
pash Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 As good as done IMO His previous tweets also imply he was in Turkey, speaking with Besiktas (eagle emoji, black and white, etc etc). Maybe he just got confused and accidentally signed with us? haha
pash Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Ninua has deleted all of his tweets since July 1st, probably because his agent slapped him. Here's another tweet to replace that:
paokarag4 Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Listening to radio from Thessaloniki, it seems a lot of people rate Insua and think we should've gone hard for him. Especially if we end up selling Giannoulis. Can't say I saw much of him except when we played them, he seemed okay nothing hugely impressive but again that's based off of a few games.
pash Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 He also had been very vocal about never playing for another Greek team...
Dutch Eagle Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Misic will play another year as a loanee at us. Again with an option to buy him.
pash Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 How is this the case if we allegedly bought him like four weeks ago?!
Blackhawk Posted August 12, 2020 Author Posted August 12, 2020 Four weeks ago the Thessaloniki sports media (ie. sleazy scumbags that would sell their own mother) bought Misic from Sporting supposedly for 1 mil now and 1 mil later if he becomes healthy again. PAE PAOK never made an official announcement. This time around it's again news from the same media that supposedly claims we are extending the loan for another year. Again no official announcement as of yet.
pash Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 It's amazing how official something sounds when it's stated so matter-of-factly haha
pash Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Unrelated, perhaps the Italians are more trustworthy! https://www.areanapoli.it/calciomercato/napoli-si-tratta-giannoulis-puo-arrivare-in-saldo-piace-mykolenko-ma-c-e-l-everton-tsimikas-modesto-spara-alto_382545.html My google translate may be off here but it seems they're saying 6-7mm would make him theirs (which I'd agree with - we are NOT getting the buy-out clause triggered). It implies that Fiorentina is also still interested (who knows if that's the case). If Napoli comes knocking, it's a no-brainer on both sides IMO.
Blackhawk Posted August 12, 2020 Author Posted August 12, 2020 Sadly we don't have the negotiating leverage that Olympiakos had with Tsimikas. I would rate Giannoulis and Tsimikas about same but we are going to be forced to sell him at half the price that Olympiakos allegedly sold Tsimikas.
pash Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Half would still be around this range, which I would gladly take at this point. I agree that Tsimikas is not better, however
paokarag4 Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 The biggest difference is Tsimikas was able to perform and show what he can do on the European stage. To the kid's credit he played very well and earned that transfer. We as a team over the last 2 seasons have failed in Europe and haven't been able to showcase our players in the Champions League or even the Europa League. If an offer comes around 6mil I agree we will take it, seems like a fair transfer everything considered although I'm not so optimistic we will get that type of money. 2

Also add to the fact that Tsimikas is going to the EPL and we are looking to sell to Italy.
PAOKSYD Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 One place I feel we go wrong in player development & progression for me is for example with this signing Nika Ninua ( not sure how to spell his name) you do not come from the Georgian League & make the paok squad, i agree his a promising signing but he must be loaned out immediately to a lower table Greek team like Volos to see if he can settle in the Greek league first, earn his spot in the squad! You cannot just sign players from anywhere, throw them in every off season and hope for the best, thats what poorly run clubs that win no tittles do like Panathianikos has been doing the last 5 seasons!
pash Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 Yes you're right...alas, it seems it's a done deal:
PaokCT Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 I just watched his highlight tape and it looks like he’s a free kick specialist. Also, I hear what you are saying, loan him out right away, but what if at practice and preseason he shows to be a player who can help us this year. You have to keep him. If during the first month you see he can’t help then yes loan him out, but to do it right away would be the wrong move
Blackhawk Posted August 14, 2020 Author Posted August 14, 2020 It's official. Ninua signed with PAOK for 4 years. If we are going to loan him out it will be in December or next season after seeing what he can do.
Blackhawk Posted August 14, 2020 Author Posted August 14, 2020 It was reported today that PAOK got an offer from Spain for Paschalakis. Not sure if I would sell him prior to the Besiktas game.
