Needless to say fortounis is our best and most consistent player. I honestly rate him in the likes of manolas and Sokratis. I am glad we have gone back to complaining about how bad the NT played in wins. It’s refreshing considering our performances in the past few years

Makes no difference. We would need to beat Slovenia in any scenario. Stupid of us not to try and score more goals though just in case the other game did end in a tie.

I was thinking Tziolis was Alexandros Tziolis, so couldn't understand why people wanted him to play! Then I googled him.

The idea of caring who starts and plays is rooted in the belief that your desired lineup gives you the best chance to win. This is true in any sport. But yes, as long as we win, that's the important thing.

In regards to the National Team, Vrousai is with the U21. If your question is more general about what's going on with him, it's something that we have lamented for weeks. He has been completely mishandled by the club and in our opinion has not been given a fair shake. He rides the bench while Lazar Randjelovic continues to put uninspiring performances on the field. He wanted to go back to the Netherlands on loan again or on a permanent move but the club announced he was to be a core part of the team. The saga with Mario is very frustrating.

Fortounis is total class, he has the vision that no one else on the NT possses. That strike was incredible just world class. Hes the type of player that can just takeover a match.

Fortounis was excellent. Was always creating something positive on the ball.

Nt was fairly in control today. Some nice touches stringing more passes together. I liked Tsimikas, Fortounis Limnios and a few others. Overall this wasn't the most difficult test. Not sure what to expect against Slovenia but

Fortounis is very important, without him it could have been easily more difficult to beat this Moldova team!

The only one who hurts here is probably you, the manager and everyone else who bashed on Fortounis saying he should stay in the bench. Unfortunately the team was missing Mantalos to start over him and worry in the end of the game why the team dropped points to Moldova.

Not going to be easy against Slovenia. All they need is a tie. Worst player on the NT by far is Bouchalakis.

Mpakasetas probably promised something to the manager hence the captaincy + full 90 minutes. He's probably the worst technically player I've seen in a long time, trying to convince people how he is supposed to play as a "10". So freaking sad.

We're just have to beat Slovenia in the last game. If we can't do that we have no business being in League B.

What a goal from Fortounis. One for the highlight reel. Then, sets up Bakasetas for the 2nd. Not easy to break down a team with 9-10 players behind the ball in there half. If we get a 3rd, I would take Fortounis off, and save / protect him for the Slovenia game. It will be good if we can get another 2 goals and Slovenia stays at 0-0

Thats a good lineup vs Moldova. I want Giakoumakis starting as he looked very impressive in his first appearance for the NT.

Honestly for moldova this is the best lineup we could have if u exclude the CBs missing and injured Bakakis. 2 attacking mids will be sweet

Honestly, I think we were done for until the penalty. Credit to Cyprus for taking advantage, both by converting the penalty and eventually getting the winner.

I think What JVS did in the game against Cyprus was a smart move, he should have a clear image of what works and what doesn’t, If the line up that started the game played the entire game I think Greece would have scored one or two more goals as they were playing with energy and high tempo and creating chances.. He really benefited from this friendly to see what works best and in doing so he was still able to get the team to win.. Let’s hope in the next two games he goes with a similar line up to what we played in the first half which was more of what we saw in the last few games of the euro qualifiers..
