I agree. I think we need to focus on upcomming talent though. I want to see proper wingers on the wings, but the U-21 has the smae dates the SENIOR nt HAS. Lazaros Lamprou, Tsimikas, Limnios, Hatzidiakos are all the future of this team and trust me , once the u21 gets disqualified in 1-2 days, they re gonna start getting called up.

I think they pull players easily in nations league to not risk further injury. compared to other games I'd imagine same knocks received they would keep playing.

We have been so unlucky in this run honestly I believe Karma owes us a good draw. Retsos and Donis were injured in all matches. Skibbe fcked up by putting Tzavellas vs the Finns but Sokratis got injured. Manolas if I remember corectly was injured in 3 out of 6 matches (today is the 4th). Maybe we can make it in the Qualifiers but otherwise start building for the 2022. Edit: Not to mention Stafylidis who is my favorite player and Kourbelis always getting injured for the 2nd matches of each international break. Nikopolidis taking the youngsters in U-21 for the qualifying hasn't helped as well. Bad season.

That's right La Mendel Skibbe totally messed everything up in that Finland game. A game where I believe Greece should have at least been able to pick up a draw and would have stayed close to Finland for top spot. The EPO should have fired him before the start of this tournament!

Picking the right players in the right positions is not brain surgery, or rocket science. I'm telling you that respectfully. It is not impossible coaching them. At this level, they are man managed mainly instead cause they are the elite. This coach not learning from previous other coaches' clangers is no excuse. I honestly think he is on countdown to the end of the next Euros. First impressions count and tbh, his are not flattering already.

We are 3rd 2nd place in group C. If Romania win Tuesday we will be 4th 2ndplace team. Basically killing our chances for a playoff spot if it is actually needed. And no matter what happens today we are in pot 4. Basically boys and girls our chances of going to the next tournament are over.

Jimmy boy, the last three coaches proved time and again their systems failed. This guy started with no wingers in the squad. The jury is out on Angelos already and if he doesn't identify shortfalls, as his predessessors , the countdown has already started, till he is out the door. For me, there are people on this forum without coaching aspirations, that succeed in other areas of life that would perhaps do a better job quite frankly with the same resources..

I hope I am wrong but Greece may never produce superstar offensive talents the likes of Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, etc. Greece due produce excellent defenders the likes of Manolas and Sokratis and Dellas back in the day. We had a great system in 2004 and we took down offensive titans like Portugal with Ronaldo, Figo, Deco, Pauleta, France with Zidane & Henry, Chzech Republic with Nedved, Koller, Baros etc. We need to play to our strength which is a strong focus first on defensive football and playing the best possible 11 at our disposal and also to stop playing players out of position. Greece certainly have a good pool of talent to draw from so that should not be an issue.
