loup Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 IN FA CUP Today: Pearce will take heart from the performance of
Najs Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 geia sas Actually i saw the game Aston Villa - Man city, Good performence by Samaras, ALSO The swedish commentetor was saying GOOD things for him.. He take alot o runs, I mean if he dont have the ball he always want to have it, I really like him..
DUDE Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Saw the Villa game. Samara has alot of talent but he has no passion! He doesn't fight for every ball and when he loses possession (which, let's face it, he does alot) he doesn't chase back! He still needs alot of work. :gr: :gr: :gr:
loup Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I'm not so sure about that - there is a fine line between cool and passionless - I thought the same thing when I saw him the other day then he went balstic and dominated a 20 minute stretch I hope I'm right

I saw someone who was tended to loaf around when others would chase every ball around them. The English game is tough and physical stamina is one of key determinanats for success in the Premier League. He has to adapt to propser as has Stelios who'se motor never stops. Samaras has the talent to be the best of the intl.-based players but it his intestinal fortitude that will determine if he will meet his full potential or not.
Korisos Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 but the good thing is they are willing to spend the time for him to develop, it's not like they bought him and expected results right away yesterday was his 21st b-day
Najs Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Guys I just saw this... Right now : Manchester C Sunderland 2-1 9' G. Samaras 1-0 10' G. Samaras 2-0 25' K. Kyle 2-1 Scored 2 goals today, and the match is not over yet, maybe a hatrick? :D
DUDE Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Samaras played excellently in the 1st half. 2 great finishes and some wonderful passing to open up the play. He was easily the best player on the pitch! In the second he started giving the ball away alot and appeared to tire. He's got alot of talent, I just hope he can master it and learn from his mistakes. His movement was still poor and he seems very lazy! He has to improve these aspects of his game!
loup Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 I don't know about lazy - he hustled his way to the first goal - picking the defence's pocket and putting it home no problem - I think he is cunning not lazy
DUDE Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 I don't know about lazy - he hustled his way to the first goal - picking the defence's pocket and putting it home no problem - I think he is cunning not lazy He did hustle for that goal. But how many times did City break down the wing through Sinclair who waited and waited for Samara to jog in to the box? He doesn't make good runs into the box, or indeed anywhere. You're right though, he is cunning, and that enables him to create space for himself in the hole behind the front man but when it comes to making good runs to get into a goalscoring positions he is poor.
Korisos Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 (edited) that left footed strike is absolutely world class, the gk never stood a chance both goals are posted on Greek torrents Edited March 6, 2006 by Northwesterner

Athens4 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Unfortunately didnt get the goals his team needed to get 3 points todaay. He set up his teams only goal though, but City lost 2-1. You cant win em all. I am sure he will score next week
Morphi Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Great prospect for Manchester City. Great striker I have to say. Next season might well be his season. :1eye:
Clover22 Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 This is the second game I've seen him play and he's really doing fine.
Athens4 Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Yes, Man City are through, thanks to giorgo and vassel. 2-1 final. But sam had to come off at half time due to injury...
