They actually looked pretty solid. Liminos has good pace and they closed on the Italians well. Overall a very good half against a much stronger opponent then us.

Going to plan.

I have to say the tactics are spot on. As players get tired, JVS can bring on Donis and Pavlidis and see what they can do.

Zeca is a workhorse.

Most well organized half of soccer from Greece in a couple yrs, and that’s with playing 1 man down with bakasetas out there. Luminous looks to be a solid addition and offers some serious pace

Moving well as a unit, some good pressing and defense is going good.

Nothing in attack unless Limnios is involved which lead to the games best chance so far.

Italy have done their home work and know how to get possession back which we keep giving them.

Very big opportunities for Donis, & Fetfa do weave some magic if they get a chance. Mantalos can help the midfield hold the ball but go forward too

That wasn’t such a bad half. I’m impressed. The only complaint I have is that spinach guy is having his way down that wing.

Very well organized compared to the last time Greece played Italy. Limnios had great chance. Please take out Bakasetas. Siovas needs to START every match going forward.

This exactly what espn plus commentators said; they actually mentioned him 3 times; also stafilidis (but him in a negative way).

Italy had 79% possession but didn't really create anything. Greece not afraid to press up and on occasion box them in their last third. Limnios doing well on the RHS. The longer it stays 0-0 the more interesting it will get as I'm sure Italy will press and we may be able to get them on the counter.

72% for UEFA, and no shots on goal.

Spot on! I also take out Koulouris; however limnios is a must; pace and defends. Rare skill for Greek wing.

By the way, it's weird seeing Italy in green. Logically it makes sense, but we know Italy usually wears blue.

Insigne skies one over the net, good pressure by Chatzidiakos

Some one in midfield needs to step up and hold the ball a little. We can’t keep giving Italy the ball like this

Limnios, great feed to Koulouris, he shoots! Off the side of the net! That was the chance!
