AEK looking good but need to get shots on target. Ponce all over them but needs to be more clinical. I think Livaja would've at least challenged the keeper.

AEK played well in the 1st half and had a couple of chances but the 2nd half has been rough.

Awful second half. Should have tried more long balls to Ponce. Cosic looked afraid to touch the ball and Alef always looks like he is moving through quicksand. The squad may get a point or two after the better teams clinch their spots. Aek desperately needed some signings with the Livaja and Lopes suspensions. Bakasetas missing also did not help.

No doubt and am preparing to lose Simoes as well since Meli is allergic to paying more than 500,000 euros a season in salary. If they were going to go this route they should have sold Livaja and Mantalos when they had nice offers.

alef sucked so hard. shows how good galanopoulos is though. he was a huge reason why AEK looked good first half

Alef looks like a fan that won a contest at halftime to play on the squad in the second half. Do not understand that signing at all.

Tough game. For AEK, Greek football and the all-important coefficient

Very poor second half after an ok first half, Ajax could do as they liked but we shouldn't be too surprised given the lack of quality transfers. 

Cosic looked very awkward on the ball, Hult had little support, we had no presence on the wings... too easy for Ajax. 

Alef was not as bad as some make out. Oikonomou at fault for first goal, for someone with so much experience in Italy, you shouldn't be making these mistakes

HT AEK 0 Benfica 2, horrible defending and AEK where down 2 in the first fifteen minutes. Bakasetas hit a nice volley goalie saved. Benfica playing with ten men after Dias red card in injury time.

2-3 FT. Aek made a nice run to tie it up with the man advantage but ran out of gas and conceded a late goal against the run of play. Klonaridis scored two but probably should have had  four. The late Benfica goal was a gut punch.

Klonaridis did great with the 2 goals but he should have served the win on the plate for Giakoumakis at 2-2... instead Benfica score a vlameno goal off the next play and win 3-2... 

He just had to cut it square for F***s sake.

Squad is now very thin with injuries. Ponce did his hammy and Oikonomou also injured. I have a bad feeling Mantalos could be injured too

I think Mantalos just cramped. He was exhausted. Should have subbed Galo in imo.

Tough result, it was 0-0 at half time but a two minute span due to a lack of focus cost AEK 2 goals.
