paxiotis7 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 played 82 minutes and scored genoa's first goal in it's 2-1 victory over cagliari. AGAIN! This guy has more goals than xaristeas!
Genome Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 AGAIN! This guy has more goals than xaristeas! He's going places!
Akritis_1944 Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Scored another goal in tonights match with Juventus. Unfortunately it was in his own net! Genoa lost 4 - 1 and Sokratis came on as a sub.
Euro2004 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Papastathopoulos played in today's 3-2 win over Roma. Here's what Goal.com had to say: Papastathopoulos: 6- He broke forward to support the attack well and was unlucky with his long range effort, but often neglected his defensive duties.
js1000 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 by far the best prospect we have in greece, he should be the first name on otto's team sheet
Euro2004 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 by far the best prospect we have in greece, he should be the first name on otto's team sheet I like Papasta but he does have a tendency to neglect his defensive duties.
pao123 Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2010/...apastathopoulos
Genome Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2010/...apastathopoulos Pretty cool, hope it's true! :gr:
Euro2004 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Yeah let's hope so. Although the Greek media seemed to have been suggesting he was on his way to Zenit. Let's hope Benitez snaps him up instead
drakos13 Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 if he moves to Zenit, that will be the dumbest transfer ever for ever and goodbye to an extremly promising career..good team and all, but Leave Genoa, Serie A football to go off radar and live in shitty St Petersburg??? Over some more money??? He'd have to be really stupid or really broke.
plato-ny Posted July 15, 2010 Author Posted July 15, 2010 Contra.gr says he's flying to Italy to sign for AC Milan....
Euro2004 Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Yes, he seemed to suggest in an interview that the move was imminent. Great news :gr:
drakos13 Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 personally i think even if it doesnt happen Genoa is a great place to be, theyre top 8 quality in Italy and they're good at developing players or just resurecting their careers.... A very good club, and Sokratis was already doing well there, continuing is not at all a bad thing. Its better to play regularly for Genoa than to sit the bench in Milan.
Euro2004 Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 what's going on with this?? the transfer was expected to be announced 4 days ago! why the delay? not only is there a delay there have been no updates in the media
pao123 Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 im pretty sure he has signed...there was a slight problem with the player exchange but i think the transfer went through no problem and aek will receive 600.000 euro as opposed to 200.000. a fantastic move for him...when he was at aek i thought to myself that one day this kid will develop into one of the best greek players out there and if he plays at milan, which i think he definitly will, his development will sky rocket... expect some great things for this kid in the near future...
Genome Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Bravo ! ! ! Making all AEK fans proud and a little sad too :-) ! ! ! :gr: :gr: :gr:
thrylos Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Bravo ! ! ! Making all AEK fans proud and a little sad too :-) ! ! ! :gr: :gr: :gr: Just AEK fans???Dude this is great for Greek soccer fans and players all around... Now the young Greek players know that if they want to play at the top levels they should not sign with the Greek teams. Time to go abroad and expand. BRAVO SOCRATI...... :nw:

js1000 Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Sokratis vs. Juventus - 22/08/2010 (friendly) he's so comfortable on the ball, an abselutly gem
Euro2004 Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 He is class. He does give away an awful lot of fouls though so he needs to work on that. He's also slowed a little over the past 6 months or while looking wider, so maybe he needs to change his fitness regime a little because pace suits his game more than strength imo. He is a really brilliant prospect though
Euro2004 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 He didn't feature in Milan's 4-0 win over Lecce. Does anyone know why? Was he injured or did he simply not make the squad?
Euro2004 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 http://www.goal.com/en-gb/match/48641/cese...vs-milan/report Milan lost 2-0 at Cesena and according to goal.com Papastathopoulos was the flop of the match getting a rating of 4.5 :( Tachtsidis was on the bench for Cesena but didn't feature. It hasn't been a good start to his Milan career

Genome Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Any clue why he's not playing vs. Auxerre?
