  1. Australia and Canada are not in the geo-political position Greece is in..... Had they been able to join organisations such as NATO/EU...They would....especially NATO in Australia's case...We Aussies scream for these Western type alliances... its easy to package up the current debt crisis with it being an EU/NATO fueled or arranged issue.. that's being cute and simplistic... greece had to decide whether we wanted to be a modern/progressive nation (even symbolically) ...If the answer was yes...then joining NATO/EU were no brainers..... Our own systems and ideology independently of EU/NATO lead us to overwrought welfare system, and an ignorant socialist appetite ....etc... Fyrom,Albania, Serbia , Romania, Bulgaria etc have a similar way of thinking that we do.....and our only saving grace was that we had a 'western alliance' ...that to a degree raised us above these backward states... If Britain completes a Brexit....it will be very different to ant grexit.... We have antiquated internal structural issues....that do not allow a simple job to be created.....process that deliberately don't work.. We have a Prime Minister that would not be able to hold down a basic $80k job in Australia......we are being lead and breed nobodies....that are inept in every way...
  2. interesting.... says a lot about women's football
  3. Greece needs to draw red lines with its enemies and know how to get its big allies on side...
  4. however there is zero benefit to be outside these organisations..... all those greeks arguing we should leave come from a predictable corner.... they start with American bashing....Zionist plots.....and youtube videos of Putin rising above The Poli.... fantasy world stuff.....
  5. and what will be the benefit of not being in EU/NATO,,,,, This is all predictable greek chest beating...... show me a country that Greece should be modelling to aspire to be outside the EU/NATO 'yoke'.. I have been hearing this stuff longer before most here were even born... it is tiresome standard anti west greek discussion... and if you are worried about Turkey....they will get more stronger and more influential with us out of the alliances..
  6. I hope Paok do get thru... We all rate Dortmund... i did not see the game in Germany reports were that PAOK did not do much other than score.... I watched the game in greece....PAOK were extremely lucky and totally outplayed..embarrassed at times by the disparity in quality... however the goal PAOK conceded was very very unlucky....and PAOK could have pinched it late against the run of play.. football at this level is played in fine margins.. Bayern outplayed as at Karaiskaki,....went 0-1 up with a fluke goal....Salino misses 1:1 in the 82nd the game finishes 0-3 in junk time...
  7. this is not about osfp.... are you able to discuss a topic on its merit or not? Sparta are not weak....but the weakest of that group.....and all are stronger than PAO/PAOK/AEK... I'm not sure what is so hard to understand? and not sure what team I support has anything to do with this thread...?
  8. YEP... Every good Greek boy wishes to hold hands with Serbia and the nobodies....
  9. PAOK is also much weaker than 6 years ago.... only possible chance in that group is Sparta...the rest would ease past any of PAO/PAOK/AEK..

this seems to have all come out of the blue... he has either given up...or the story is totally exaggerated...

I thought he was prompt in paying bills and the club was well run??
  12. 20000 capacity is still too small for PAO.....
  13. I agree with a lot of what you say.... However I would add that the public in general need to understand the role of government and what government can provide. A modern progressive government needs a healthy landscape to prosper....and not get bogged down with 'expectations' driven by self interest... I think Greek politicians pander and grandstand to archaic non workable public opinion...
  14. Mr.Banana there is far more deeper issues to Greece's issues than nepotism..... it's very simplistic and easy to blame nepotism..... I'd say that many who are looking for a default and grexit...are looking for a way back to the old days.....including nepotism at it suits .. rock thrower is the way Tsipra and the far left have been conducting their campaign for a long time... It is the Syriza thread....and syriza are an extreme lefty commie party....with delusional ideas as you say.....and for that they need to criticized..... If anyone needs to grow up....it is the greek society and media who believe in these mythical enemies and wacky conspiracies...
  15. for someone that started the post with 'I don't care for left, I don't care for right'.. You then continued to write something that sounds straight out of the 'Hellenic rock throwing fraternity'.. Are you sure you don't listen to cassette tapes of Papariga late at night?
  16. no one can run the government or pass and enforce basic laws... Greeks have what they want...a lawless unstructured society..
  17. what are you on about??? no one will ever invest with P.A.M.E and co. running the country... we are becoming Albania....no one cares..... enough of the Nazi talk... we screwed things ourselves 40 years ago.......and some Morons still looking at secret handshakes and and Zionist/Masonic plots...
  18. maybe we could use them... to stimulate the economy?? they may have a goof work ethic...>
  19. I have also noticed that Fostiras points vary from site to site
  20. I think following up on the great success of greece 2001-2014 and win loss ratio of Otto and Santos... it is harsh to kick greek football for the failed 2 months of Ranieri.... Those 2 months were an unimaginable disaster of the highest order.....I do not blame EPO nor Ranieri..... I blame a handful of players for their attitude post WC.......And partially blame Santos for a negative mentality instilled in certain individuals....Motivation and concentration were in my opinion the real problem.... It wasn't just the losses to FI.......Had we won those two games and Finland we still miss out....For me it was the back to back losses to NI/FI at home that just killed all hope...these were demoralizing to the point of no return... did Ranieri make mistakes? Yes... did he pick the right players? No but the players themselves are the ones to blame..
  21. the country is run by rock throwing political agitators... the symbolism of a cup final in an empty stadium probably makes their ideological hearts very happy...another strike against imperialism..
  22. if you lose Mak.....you won't get better.....
