Kyriakos deserves a chance...he articulates well...he is young and educated and connected in the right European circles . He can't be held accountable for his father..... the choice is between him or Tsipras....or other loser agitators? take your pick.. Greece needs a modern statesman..

at his current fitness level and lack of form he would embarrass himself at a club like Atromitos.... it's a long season.....and given his profile nowhere to hide in GSL.... Let's remember at his best (Celtic days) he was at times very lethargic and insipid against opposition that at times was B ethniki level.....and Celtic were 2-3 levels ahead of.. his ability to work hard on the pitch against these poor teams at times was questionable..

Then I saw a CNBC interview with Kyriakos Mitsotakis. if anyone gets a chance to listen to these two interviews...it is clear that Syriza are not fit to govern.....NEVER will be..professional radical agitators... Mitsotakis has ideas, a clear vision...a modern Western statesman.... enough of the no tie, cheap leather jackets.......this is not a 1980 College debating class...this is meant to be a modern European country..

the fact he played well at CD is great for greece NT...In the sense that I have had doubts on his defensive capabilities at a high level. we know he has great vision and can be good going forward....he now knows how to track back properly and close down... perfect for the no.6 role...I think this is our greatest weakness...... if he can nail this..... It allows Taxi, Fortounis, Mandalos to be more creative.

the current club form of Karnezis Holevas Sokratis Manolas Samaris Mandalos Karelis Mitro Stafyllidis Fortounis is very good....to excellent at a high level.... there are others like Kaltsas, Maniatis, Taxi, K.Pap etc who are finding their feet..

The gulf stats play some nice stuff.... but they do lack quite a bit.... Greece's issues are chemistry and mental application... Greece has some very good footballers that play at a high level...

australia is in better form than greece... but this has nothing to do with the level of serie A. also keep in mind the high level of Olympiakos in UCL over the last 4 seasons.... and some big results of PAOK and asteras..... Asteras drew twice to Besiktas and eliminated Mainz last year.. these clubs are not Joenbuk Motors...

Asteras had no choice the money was too good.... just like Barrales before him.. his form between late 2014 and mid 2015 warranted a call up....given the disaster the NT was .. however he was a very limited player sometimes very poor at GSL level.... he virtually did nothing at GSL level until he turned 25,, and he had many opportunities..

the first 15 minutes of that game were beyond comical and the rest of the game was farcical...

He was NEVER on my list..

His goal scoring form in Belgium is similar to what it was in greece... he struggled at the bigger clubs PAOK and Oly...demands are higher and he fell short.. at 28 he should be in his prime... I feel the serious knee injury at Aris cost him... He has no place in the NT..... Mitro, Karelis, Klaus, Diamantakos are all better... He would be easy pickings for the Australian defenders.......he is tall and slow as you say...with limited skill.... perfect for the aussies... The other 4 are the type of strikers that could/would on their day hurt a lot of defences...
