  1. If he does bring up Manolas and Sokratis for important games and Lyratzis after the big U21 games, then I think the team is actually pretty exciting. Vlachodimos - Paschalakis is proving to be no slouch Lyratzis Manolas Sokratis Tsimikas - Kyrakopoulos potentially WHEN IS THE LAST TIME WE HAD THIS SOLID OF A BACK 4 AND KEEPER????? Exciting stufff Our midfield is poop tho. Giannoulis, Pavlidis, DOuvikas, and Tziolis up front is very exciting too we just need something, anything in our midfield

  2. If we see a midfield of Bouchalakis, Bakasetas and Siopis then it’s pointless. Might aswell mix it up, give Alexandropoulos 2 full 90 minute games. Give some time to Kourfalidis too.

  3. I vaguely remember another coach doing the same thing and that didn't exactly pan out for him.....I don't see any major difference in the call ups either. Mavropanos has played 2 of his last 3 starts at Stuttgart at RB so I wonder if he is being looked at for this position. I think Saliakas would have been another option at RB as I find Rota underwhelming at times. I'm glad Lyratzis got he call up but I think he would be starting for sure for the U21 where as he might just be a spectator during the friendlies and Saliakas has been arguably the best Greek RB over the course of the year. Strange to see only 1 defensive mid. in the callups....I think this will be a good change in the overall set up of the team,

  7. Imagine if we had four competent teams all going deep into their competitions. 2/3 of the games this time of year would be unplayable haha

  8. Just to follow up on that - are you also looking for how many coefficient points you get for things like wins, losses?

  9. Looks like we are asking the Superleague to postpone the Olympiakos match (April 10) which falls between both games against Marseille so we can get maximum rest. Apparently there is a rule which states if a Greek team is playing in a quarter or semi final of a European competition, the league must accept the request to postpone any domestic match. So seems we will be going in fresh for that 2nd leg. The issue then becomes where the hell do all these games get played? Remembering that we still have the Cup semi-finals to play.

  10. You're back! Welcome. See this site: https://kassiesa.net/uefa/AccessList2022.html But the ranking we create this season are the berths for the 23/24-season.

  11. Players without duties for the national team got three days off granted from Lucescu to rest.

  12. Rules for skipping the yellows: everybody will be clean after the quarterfinals. But if you receive another yellow in the homegame against Marseille the player will be suspended the first leg of the semis of we win. In the dangerzone for both matches: Crespo, Vieirinha, Lyratzis, Schwab and Mitrita

  13. Can anyone here pleeeeeease explain to me the breakdown for our Uefa league coefficient???? IK on the website Greece is the 15th league right now, but has PAOKs efforts brought us up a spot? Do we have to beat Marseille to ensure that? What spot do we have to be to get out guaranteed champions league group stage spot back/ any Europa league spots backed. HELP

  15. Agree fantastic result especially coming off a big European night. Our record over AEK since that night in 2018 is really something to behold, one loss in around 15ish games? Including the cup of course. The team is really starting to have that trademark Lucescu toughness about them, hard to beat. Even when we aren't playing well we are disciplined and hard to break down. Able to find a goal even during tricky games, it's a fantastic trait and necessary for a title challenge. Next season we are going to be up to our ears in the title race.

  16. Amazing result! I did not expect this after our big euro win. Well done to Luci and his team.

  17. Agreed. Focus really has to be on the other two competitions. It looks like the SL2 season goes until May? I really think at some point, the team needs to take a look at players in the B team who play in positions of need (LB, AM, CB). If our last three games this season are meaningless, then it's as good a time as any.

  18. I think Ingason was very good as well. I think 2nd place pretty much secured. Let the rest fight for 3rd place.

  19. Sorry, miscalculated. We need just 12 points to reach ECL.

  20. Well he made sure next year with the manufactured Xanthi story. The fat one is already planning for next season. All of a sudden since yesterday 10 SL teams are sponsored by Shopflix, company owned by the drug dealer. Easy 54 points for Olympiakos next season.

  21. I would say 90% of the squad is as expected. Somewhat surprising is the omission of Giannoulis. Is he injured? I know he's not a starter at Norwich. He's brought in Kyriakopoulos, Nicolaou, Zota and Stafylidis and kept Goutas but has left out Manolas, Siovas and Soc. Kyriakopoulos and Nicolaou are regulars for their clubs in Italy and deserve the call up. The big surprise is the introduction of 19yo Kourfalidis who I have never heard of before. Here's what his coach thinks of him "According to Matsari, the Greek is a modern midfielder who combines athletic skills with technical training and maturity, while spreading his leadership qualities on the grass without hesitating to either fall with force in battle whenever needed or to attack. Elements that pushed Cagliari to proceed with the early renewal of his contract, which expired in the summer of 2023, until June 2026." ?

  22. Reports from England state George Baldock is very close to obtaining his Greek citizenship. Also Olympiakos are looking at a potential deal to bring him in as well.

  23. Vangelis with another goal. But in between the Norwegians scored too. So 3-3 on aggregate with an hour to play.

  24. Vlachodimos keeps a clean sheet in the 2nd leg of the round of 16 tie against Ajax, Benfica win the match 0-1 and are through to the quarter finals. In what has been a disappointing domestic campaign for Benfica it's a great effort to reach the quarter finals of the Champions League.
