So they need to jump Sweden, and Spain will have more to play for now they aren't even assured 1st anymore. Even then will need to go into playoff for 2nd spot in which they won't be seeded. It's looking grim. Just beat Kosovo and go from there all they can do at this point..2 points

Game over, 2-1 Sweden. Doesn't change anything for us. We still need to win our games. Anything other than a win on Sunday pretty much ends our chances.2 points

I agree it looks very bleek but by some chance we get out of September with 6 points we are right back in the mix.1 point

I was thinking the same thing we need 5 wins and two wins vs Sweden and hope Spain beat Sweden last match day. Then Greece would have 17pts Sweden 15pts At this point only 2 games in it looks very bleek..1 point

Agree. One game at a time, we can't get all the points back at once. Take care of business against Kosovo and then we can look forward to a massive do or die against Sweden. I am relatively confident we will beat Kosovo, we will get chances just whether we are able to bury a couple. I am interested to see what JVS does on the wings, with all our outs. Assuming Tzolis isn't fit to start (maybe off the bench), it will probably be Giannoulis or Mantalos on the left and I don't know who on the right could be a few players (Even Mantalos) The fact that Limnios got no minutes against Switzerland leaves me reasonably optimistic that he won't start in this game.1 point

Spain has an amazing team but for all the chances they create, they should be scoring 4 a game. They dominated the Italian team in the Euros but couldn't score. Sweden, in a way, is a team that mirrors us. They prefer to play defense and counter, will be interesting to see how they play us.1 point

In order for us to get in we need the following IMO, This doesn't look good for us. But for now we can only take it one game at a time and it needs to start with a MUST win against Kosovo if we lose or draw then there's no point even looking forward as it will be over. 2 Wins Against Kosovo - 6pts 1 Win Against Georgia - 3pts 2 Wins Against Sweden - 6pts we may be able to lose or draw against Spain.1 point

What a time to get it and to Sweden, the team we thought we could beat to 2nd. In this group, we’re going to need 5 wins to get 2nd. This means we need to beat Kosovo and Sweden. Anything less and it’s going to be difficult.1 point

This Spanish team just doesn't have that killer offense. Their defense isn't the same without Puyol and Ramos.1 point

Agreement has been reached. Superleague 1 starts on September 11. PAOK plays PAS Giannina.1 point

Just watched a replay of the game. Some good things and some bad things. The wingers of the other teams seem to give our defenders a lot of problems on a regular basis and we need to address that ASAP. Also i will give the team a pass as we are missing some players and some of the guys playing don't have full playing time with there club teams. In saying that if we don't get 3 points against Kosovo its a complete failure and JVS job may be on the line as it will once again be ANOTHER failed tournament. Mavropanos was terrible in my opinion and It seems like JVS is going to live and die with Bakasetas as his main go to guy. Manolas and Siovas would make this team so much better and stop us from those mental breakdowns that occur for us regularly but unfortunately JVS has ruined that from happening.1 point

Mavropanos is garbage. Damn that guy is a disaster every game. On Saturday he scored but defensively he was terrible.1 point

Overall - We had more possession, more chances. Missed two golden chances in the second half, one should have gone in for sure. We did get caught out a few times on counters. The thing we were missing was someone in the middle to organize our attack. Our right side also didn't attack as much. Mavropanos had a terrible game.1 point

I mentioned a few months ago that PAS Lamia will remain in the SL and I was right! The team is run by a great President and staff and it will continue to decorate the SL for a long time to come! This year the team started very early and has all its pieces together. The addition of Gentzoglou,Manousos,Manousakis,Mazoulouxis,Eleftheriadis Garavelis,Saranov,Nunez have done good to the team that looks forward to better and bigger things! If we add a forward to the equation PAS Lamia will be on its way to possibly a European hunt! Time will tell!1 point

Must be nice that a player from the ethniki, even though ruled out, came anyway in hopes he can help. Players that want to play for Greece!!1 point

I think you are spot on. Our WC hopes hanging by a thread. How are Limnios, Mantalos and Chatzigiovanis travelling? Can we get max points with Kosovo away? Game’s in a week.1 point

Awful luck for us heading into 2 must win games. Not to mention Pelkas was ruled out prior to the squad being announced, between him Fortounis and Tzolis that's our 3 best attacking players IMO. Gonna be a big ask to win both games with those outs, we struggle to score with a full team. Mantalos and Bakasetas (no matter how much people hate it) are going to play a big part in us getting 6 points from these games. We also need Pavlidis/Fountas to be clinical when they get chances.1 point

Good draw for OLY. Eintracht Frankfurt will be tough but it could have been worse especially drawing Leiceister from Pot 2 and say Real Soceidad or Marseille from Pot 3.1 point

Giannis-Fivos Botos just scored the 2-0 for Go Ahead Eagles in their match against Sparta.1 point

I better hope that Greece don't just play good in friendlies and suddenly play like sk*ta in more meaningful matches such as this one. This is usually the trend I have seen over the past decade or so.1 point

Fountas scored again today! Rapid Wien lost the game but are through to the Europa league.1 point

Have never heard of Papanikolaou, he's a winger 22 years old who plays in Poland. Played for Panionios and Platanias while in Greece but I honestly don't remember him from the Superleague. No real surprises otherwise, Giakoumakis being left out is the only surprising omission, he's in the middle of trying to orchestrate a move to either Celtic, or Weder Bremen. So perhaps that has taken priority for him and he's asked to be left out? Zeca is suspended for this game, as Giakoumakis would have been had he been called up.1 point
