Bro let me tell you something you’re the type of guy that will cheer for the team when they’re playing well and then come out here and start telling everybody “I told you so” you’re like the little weasel that likes to start arguments and then turtles when it comes down to it.. I’ve dealt with guys like you on numerous occasions..5 points

I'm not implying anything. What I am saying is that when our country, our team, loses and loses a match we all expected to win, peoples moods will be adversely affected. The last thing anyone wants to see right at the last whistle is trash talking in a "i told you so" tone. Its pathetic. I have no problem stating how poorly and flat Greece played today. We are all gutted. I'll never come in though and kick everyone while they're down....3 points

This was obviously not a great performance for us. Truth be told, Georgia has a good team. Spain barely beat them and they needed an extra time goal. It's one game, everyone needs to relax. Trolling after a loss, for a team we all love, in a forum that supports the team, is never cool. We are fans of the ethniki and wish it the best. The lineup needs some tweaks, we all know that. Bakasetas/Bakakis have no place in the 11. Calling Giannoulis a championship RB is ridiculous. He could have gone to better teams but chose a team that will be promoted to the Premier league and get game time. Limnios should have done the same! Poor performance - yes. Let's see what happens in Sept/October.3 points

Losing, especially the way we did today, sucks. But what sucks even more is when the weasel clowns literally wait for the final whistle to come on here and trash the team. GTFOH...3 points

STFU you Internet troll. Guys like you probably got there asses kicked growing up..3 points

Limnios for Tzolis is quite a poor choice of a sub.3 points

Starting lineup was just announced !!! Courtesy of sportime Vlachodimos bakakis k paps tzavellas giannoulis zeca bouchalakis fortunis bakasetas tzolis pavlidis Why bakasetas it’s an automatic starter is just super Annoying I know he scored against Spain but he offers nothing going forward he is slow with the ball and has no creativity I would have put fortounis there instead which is his natural position and masouras on the right with tsimikas replacing bakakis. Our two best backs should be playing at all times regardless if one is out of position it’s a waste to keep one on the bench we’re not a Germany or Brazil to have such great talent sitting and not playing. As for fw I guess pavlidis got the start bcs of his two goals against Honduras but giakoumakis too me is the best fw we have had since mitroglou as is perfect for this formation.3 points

Be grateful that we had a fantastic 10 years of tournaments (2004-2014). Some people don't even see their country win a trophy in their lifetime. The fact that we have not been able to build on the 2004 success is our own fault. That is what happens when you let toxic clubs like Olympiakos (I don't want to start an argument, but it is the truth) take over and have their players get call-ups just to increase their value. Of course it isn't just that - the whole mentality is wrong in Greece. We live in the past and celebrate 1-0 wins from 15 years ago on an annual basis. We read about PAO's 1-0 in the San Siro and PAOK's 1-1 draw at Highbury every single year. No wonder we can't grow - we are too busy wallowing in past victories.2 points

Yeah, nobody likes trolling of their own team from people that are supposed to also be on your side. We're all on the same side here, we're all disappointed, but people love being right to the point that they forget what we're all doing here in the first place.2 points

I have a bad feeling about this game, I pray I'm wrong. JVS needs to change it up he can't go in the 2nd half with the same line up. We gave Georgia so much confidence in that first half.2 points

I'm hoping we see Tzolis start. Sure he missed some easy opportunities on Sunday, but the key thing for this squad is that he is CREATING opportunities in the first place. He made some strong crosses into the box, and made a lot of those (albeit missed) opportunities with his speed and timed runs. I think he is the kind of player that can find a goal during a brief opening against a likely aggressive Georgia side with more fortune in his feet tomorrow.2 points

Years ago when Torosidis was breaking into the national team, Rehagel would start him at left back and seitaridis on the right. Has Vantschip brought up his reasoning for not wanting to start one of Giannoulis or Tsimikas on the right?2 points

Why would you put Bakasetas on the wing? The guy is a centre forward. For some reason players on the NT are not played in their correct position. It is probably the reason why we can't string passes together.1 point

I only wish we had Santos still at the helm. He would have had us in the last 3 major tournaments.1 point

It was a bad performance from Greece the old Greek teams would have locked up the win after that gift goal we got. Very disappointing dropping points to Georgia but they were far better today. We were sloppy in possession and lacked speed in attack. A lot of the “bigger” nations slipped up too again today Germany lost to the Skops and Ukraine tied Kazakstan 1-1 at home.1 point

Yup just like Team Canada losing to the USA in hockey ?1 point

Like I said bro I respect everybody’s opinion we’re not all going to agree about certain aspects of the team, and lots of frustration takes over especially when we are all so fed up after of number of years without qualifications and seeing no progress in the team. Yeah it sucks so sometimes your blood boils but I’m over it.. let’s move on.. And Like I said I can argue with someone one minute and be cool with them the next I don’t hold grudges I’m not a “12 year old”1 point
-
That’s exactly my point.. They Have their comments already typed out and they’re just waiting for the whistle to press enter.1 point
-
It’s not about people stating there opinion it’s about how people go about it and try to poke the bear and insult everyone here that try to find some positivity in the team.. I will respect everyone’s views but if you come out at everyone taking shots everytime Greece play bad it starts to piss you off.. Especially after a loss where you already feel gutted.1 point

Yes Georgia outplayed Greece down the stretch. More chances and better finishing. Georgia is not a bad team but they are far from being a serious team that may qualify. Greece should have scored in the 1st and then let Georgia come out of their shell and capitalize on the counter. This team needs a Gekas type player. One who just had the nose for the goal. It didn't have to be a perfect set up but he would find a way to direct it with some pace on goal. Someone stated that Greece has to win out in order to qualify. If they don't then they have to look at the 2026 world cup and Fortunis is gone by then. A very bleak outlook.1 point

The bottom line here is Georgia should be upset with the draw they should have beaten us.. two f***ing games and our qualifications are over.. So busted right now..1 point
-
Off course Georgia had to get a result vs Greece and couldn’t pull one off in their first 2 games were they were just as good.1 point
-
It was a dreadful performance, Georgia deserved to win and we were pathetic.. Qualifications are now over for us we got no shot at second. Yes trolls come on here and run your mouths but the fact is this is your team as well..1 point
-
Georgia unlucky to only draw. They were far more dangerous, Greece have no one that can tie that Kvaraskeila's boots, way better than any of our players.1 point

They look superior to us.. they’ve come out to win this game and we are playing like scared puppies..1 point

this is the sub (Giako and Masouras) I predicted would get us the go-ahead goal ?1 point
-
Look how fast Georgia moves the ball up compared to us.. we get the ball and slow it down completely and let Georgia get into position.1 point
-
Love the fast break we had, moving forward and one of our players decides to pass back..1 point
-
I would have taken Bakasetas off and moved Fortounis in the middle and brought on Masouras.1 point
-
I dont see Bakasetas creating enough for us...let's move Fortounis to middle, Tzolis left, and Masouris right. Giannoulis might be faster and get into the box, but Tsimikas may help us keep possession and keep the ball in their half more overall. We need more playmaking from the back and middle (as usual).1 point

Also - Did anyone see that Germany is losing to North Macedonia 0-1 ???1 point

Tzolis and Giannoulis will start today against Georgia. Also Swiderski is in the starting lineup against England and Ingason in the game against Liechtenstein.1 point

The lineup could be better JVS has a lot of trust in Bakasetas as one of the main leaders on the team as he said in the pre game interview. I would just like to see him come in as sub to hold a result. It doesn’t look like he will stop including him in the starting 11 going forward. Pavlidis got the start because he found the net twice & Giakoumakis did not vs Honduras. I hope Pavlidis can take his chances today. Giakoumakis should see the field at some point today. Greece need the full 3 points and let’s hope JVS plan will get us a win. PA ME ELLADA!1 point

The lineup is fine for the most part. I agree that Fortounis should have been there and Masouras on the right. I can see why he didn't put Tsimikas at right if he never played before, could have tried it in the friendly though. What happened to Androutsos?1 point
-
The other impact he has is that the defense must respect him, so maybe they are not as high on his side.1 point
