Την καλημέρα μου σε όλους σας. Μου έλειψε η κουβεντούλα για τον Άρη και χαίρομαι πραγματικά που ξαναβρισκόμαστε μετά από καιρό. Εύχομαι η επιστροφή μου να συνοδευτεί από επιτυχίες. Αρχής γενομένης από την Κρήτη. Κάτι που το πιστεύω.

Right now, who we draw means little imo. We need to focus on our team and the football they produce. We are deadset horrible again, I actually watched highlights of the Costa Rica game at the gym last night and I have to say, night and day to today. Lazaros was a beast on the wing, taking on players and getting past, up front Salpi and Gekas caused problems whilst Mitro was too slow (even then) to trouble the defence. Samaras was also dangerous wider. Point is, you need to have a balance and we need to stop this slow central players (Mantalos & Bakasetas) on the wing or horrible passers (Pelkas) out there too. We have wing players, use them, and watch an improvement. Finishing our chances is the other issue, massive opportunity for an up and coming striker to make a name for themselves

Masouras showed promising signs. Should be ahead of Bakasetas and Mantalos on th wing.

we had a good chance against the dutch too. costa rica netherlands was also 0-0 free kicks. we also beat the dutch 2-1 in a friendly a year or two after.

Ya George that's a big problem for us going forward. Who can score at the same rate Mitro did? Koulouris? Karelis? dont think they are even close to his top level.

^^ I watched that game about a week ago and we played with so much pace, the team created so many chances and was unlucky not to score a 2nd goal because of the great goalkeeping from Navas. Total night and day difference to the current NT which in a lot of games has so much trouble moving the ball effectively in the final third of the pitch. Mantalos has no confidence lately he had terrible control and ruined our attack in the last few games. Bakasetas still has yet to score for the NT in 20 appearances and I just dont see him working out for the Ethniki so I think its time to move on from him.

You can see from players except a few socratis being one of them that they dont care. If they played like the way they did at club level they would be on the bench.

Masouras had a good performance, overall very steady. Bakasetas should not be called up, but I think he will be going forward.

Αλλά αυτό που με βάζει σε σκέψεις είναι κάτι άλλο: Σοβαρά τώρα, eπειδή είσαι μπαογκτζής, έρχεσαι εδώ να τον υπερασπιστείς και να τον υποστηρίξεις; Τι λέει αυτό για σένα τον ίδιο;; Λίγο αυτο-εκτίμηση δεν βλάπτει ρε φιλος! I don’t believe we will be fine at all now days. Since the end of WC in Brazil our actually football has been atrocious, I mean we look like amateurs out there most games. We now lose to minnows on a regular basis, we can’t score goals, I believe we average 0.50 goals a game which is very very bad when you look at recent opposition and the best we can do now is SQUEEZE out 1-0 wins at home... We have a federation that has taken the game backwards when we have every opportunity to go forward BUT nothing will change... I feel hard to knock Anastasiadis so early on but I just wonder when our players will stop looking so silly when they put the ethniki top on... it’s like all club form and football IQ just goes out the window... I dunno, I just see no light at the end of the tunnel with the current EPO and the lack of funding to anything worthwhile for the future. Budgeted coaches for the ethniki for example is not a good sign We have now dropped to pot 4... Wow

I don’t actually know if we will be alright especially since the fans have all given up and don’t show up to any games and now the captan and leader stands up and stops believing with Socratis comments.. I think there is a bad vibe amongst the team... I’m starting to believe that Greece can only be successful by being the underdogs and having everyone play back and just score a goal on the counter and just defend. It seems like when we are favoured and control the ball we don’t know what the hell to do with it hence our famous back passes and lack of finishing..

I’d go with this 23 in the future... Vlachodimos, Barkas, Gianniotis, Torosidis, Retsos, Manolas, Sokratis, Siovas, Koutris, Tsimikas, Kourbelis, Samaris, Zeca, Galanopoulos, Pelkas, Fortounis, Chatzigiovannis, Bouzoukis, Fetfatzidis, Mitroglou, Masouras, Karelis, Donis... I like playing with wingers. I’d have no more than 3DMs. Kourbelis can also play CB. We have a problem at RB so Retsos and Torosidis will do for now. This team looks shaken up with good experience and talented youth. Bouzoukis should be looked at for that CM role. He is better than Bakasetas. I picked Mitroglou even though I didn’t want him. We really have no one else in that position.
