Blackhawk
I think you're making the mistake assuming that PAOK's main goal with PAOK TV is to match what NOVA was offering. The main objective is to become independent of NOVA seeing that they will soon become under control of Olympiakos owner. The article you are quoting clearly says that NOVA if they decide to enter official negotiations with PAOK will not go over 5 mil. At the end the official offer was little bit over 4.5 mil. Also don't forget that last season NOVA was paying PAOK 6.5 mil, and with the season that PAOK had dominating everything the offer under 5 mil was a slap in the face. At the same time Panathinaikos got a 1.5 mil raise by going to NOVA. Like I said the main goal is for PAOK to control their own TV rights and they will be happy just to break even. Also I don't think the expanses for the production are as high as the 100K per game you quoted. The company doing the production is already under contract with Open TV (owned by Savvidis) and I am sure they got a good deal.
Soprano76
When will they start to be more aggressive with selling advertising slots during the game? IMO that would cover a lot of money.

Blackhawk
I have some numbers for our accountant pash: 35,000 annual subscriptions (this number does not include subscriptions outside of Greece). Over 500 commercial subscriptions. As for advertising, PAE PAOK is projecting that revenue from advertising tied to PAOK TV will be around 2 mil. pash
The last update I had seen before the aris game was the 21k, but I am assuming the 35k is the "final" count by then. No idea on the foreign subscriptions though - I have a feeling info will start to slow down on that front.

pash
Not a huge difference. The problem at this point is figuring out what price point these new #s (for subs) are coming in at. pash
Minus their own overhead, but yeah. I don't know much about production costs, but there has to be some outlay (even if Blackhawk's suspicion that they're getting a deal is right). I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that at this point, the only big numbers we may yet see will come from individual games. There are probably people waiting for the playoffs to spend the 6.99 for one month of games that actually matter.
