paokarag4 Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Unsurprisingly, Sport24 have back peddled a little bit. Reports are now saying Slavia has accepted our improved offer of 12 Million (crazy money by Greek football standards let alone our standards) and some bonuses. Slavia has told the player they will allow him to leave, they are just waiting on his replacement. How long that takes, I don't know. It seems this is really close to happening though. It will be a huge moment in our history if we do indeed sign him for that amount of money. On paper, he is a midfielder that we lack and have lacked for years. A number 8 who is quick, creative and can score. But most importantly he is quick! He could be partnered up with either Camara or Meite and complement them nicely. Still water to go under the bridge but it seems like it is a matter of when and not if.

Unbelievable amount of money by us, if any of these reports are true (and the reports are all over the place, both for transfer fees and player compensation). My cousin Mitso didn't think it would happen so will feel good to RUB IT IN HIS FACE

Can’t play with the hearts and emotions of the fans. People will start pushing him out. At this rate, whatever they demand we need to pay. He is making 600K at Slavia with the new contract he signed with them. He will triple his salary if he comes to us. The 16 mil figure is not true. That was just a figment of imagination by a certain Czech journalist, which immediately was copied by the Greek press. In other transfer news, Giakoumakis is due in Thessaloniki today to undergo a physical and sign a 1-yeare loan with PAOK.

Until then he will play for Slavia apparently on loan basis. We will pay Slavia 10 mil plus 2 mil in bonuses. Zafiris will sign with PAOK for 4 years. 1

Very impressive crowds. And he seems pumped too. Good sign! -edit- Noticed some posts about this kid the other day; a possible acquisition in the defense. Personally, I think our defense is hands down our weakest line in the team.
