It is absolutely ridiculous that you can choose which game you wish to sit out of. This rule is there to protect the big teams in case they have any players missing from derbies.

And the minnows want their players available for the matches against their fellow minnows.

Agree that the rule is ridiculous.

Zivkovic and Augusto are at 6 yellow cards. If and when they receive their 7th card they will have to sit out two games.

With everything going on in Russia, I am hearing countries are going to start to freeze assets of influential Russians and friends of Putin. Any chance something happens w/ our boy Savvidis?

I also think Savvidis has a Greek passport too so he should be fine.

Unlike myself, who is still waiting for mine 18 months after applying, he received his within a couple a days just like Cholevas and Alex Antetokounmpo. In fact the latter had his presented within 24 hours by Mitsotakis himself. Not the athletes' fault of, course, but it just shows what a joke the Greek government is.

Situation yellow cards going into the playoffs:

6 - Zivkovic, Douglas
5 - Michailidis

Going into the playoffs the accumulated cards are being erased at the end of regular season and everything starts from scratch. However if the players reach 7 cards in the next two regular season games (AEK, Lamia), they will need to serve the 2 game bans. This means that those players need to be careful not to receive any cards in those two games in order to be clean for the playoffs.

El Kaddouri will sit out his suspension on MD 1 of the play-offs as there is no choice when to sit out a suspension.

Draw for the play-offs on Wedsnesday btw. With OFI or PAS as the verdict of the appeal of the latter is expected on Monday of Tuesday

Seems we were fined 10k for the pitch invasion and another 34,750 for the flares. Got off lightly. Guaranteed if we win tomorrow, there will be another incident.

We were fined 75k and three games behind closed doors for what went down at the Cup final. Panathinaikos fined about 10k less, two games behind closed doors.

Apparantly we are not guilty anymore for what happened at the cupfinal. The three games ban is gone. The fine remains however.

What a joke. Just because they completely erased the punishment for the 2 game ban to Panathinaikos they had to appear "fair" and erased our 3 game ban. However they still kept the fine, which they did not for Panathinaikos.

Looking at it, the Cup final took place in a church type environment.

No cards versus Lamia but we have some real issues on the discipline. We collect those yellows too easy and to dumb.

Kurtic has 5 yellows in the League and has served one ban already.

Kotarski, Douglas Augusto, A. Zivkovic, Schwab and Oliveira have 3 sofar and the next one is a ban. Normally defenders are the ones to collect the most yellows. Not even a single defender is at risk. Another proof our yellows are dumb.

Having said the above it is now time to score that fourth yellow in order to be suspended in the regular season against a minnow as SL supports this weird system. Games to be suspended at best are PAS (away), Levadiakos (home), Ionikos (home) or Volos (away). And maybe Asteras (away) but that is often a tricky game and we can not afford losing there as we must finish second or third if we aren’t champions (I think we won’t make it but Pana starts choking bit by bit) because there is a spot in CL League Path next European season and the cupwinner or third ranked team if the cup is won by the top 2 enters EL PO and will at least play ECL GS.

Douglas Augusto is the first of the bunch with his fourth yellow. Next games are Levadiakos (H), Gayros (H), Asteras  (A) and AEK (H). Levadiakos seems to be the best option.

Well, in a sophisticated football nation like Spain the Busquetses, Piqué's and Alba's of this world grab a delibarate card one game before  a minnow in order to be available against the Real Mashiits and Atleti's of this world. And the refs know why they grab that shirt 60 meters from the box in injury time and still give them .....
