pash Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Limnios is the first sub. I'd put Stoch on for Biseswar as well.
teke817 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 we are starting to look tired - Ajax playing two competitive matches already is a nice advantage. they are already starting to push higher
teke817 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I'm real impressed with Esiti so far ... not flashy but he shows up where he is needed
teke817 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I'm shocked we look so winded ... didn't we train in 40+C weather for two weeks? I know some of it is low morale after the conceding two shitty goals but ... 3
Antaeus7 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Looks like another disappointing home result coming for PAOK 1
Antaeus7 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 2:2 fulltime Gotta find a way to win in Amsterdam, will not be easy, but nothing is impossible.
Blackhawk Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 Final score 2:2 I would not call the result disappointing. After all we did not lose (as everyone expected) to the team that reached the semis of the CL last season.
pash Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I'm very disappointed in how we looked. We had 25 minutes where we looked like we were there to play ball. The rest of the game was literally played at a walking pace. 1
Blackhawk Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 We stand no chance of qualifying. Ajax is one level better than PAOK. Hopefully we will at least have a respectful showing in Amsterdam. 2
kozi Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Result is ok...The way we conceded affected our mindset. The one time we took them on down the left with Limnio we almost scored. We weren't daring enough in 2nd half but considering the opposition it's understandable. We are paying for our s%$#! efforts last season by having to play the likes of Ajax as an unseeded team. Need a miracle in 2nd leg. 1
Yiankos Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Stoch was the only disappointment. He played only ten minutes and couldn't keep up with the rest of the players.
Dutch Eagle Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 1 hour ago, Yiankos said: Stoch was the only disappointment. He played only ten minutes and couldn't keep up with the rest of the players. For me Varela was. Did not pass a ball to another PAOKtzi. And tragic with the second goal. Should have bent backwards and shoot skyhigh instead of low at the ground. That is lesson one as a defender. I'm disappointed. Two cheap goals was the only way to score for them. 1
Blackhawk Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 Had Pelkas made it 3:1 in first half things would have been different. The 2nd Ajax goal just killed the team psychologically. Could not recover from that mistake. We should be happy we did not concede more goals after that.
Athens4 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 He was an absolute beast in the middle. It was as if he had been playing for us for a couple of years.
CincinnatiAek Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 The Varela play on the second goal was comically bad. Really took the air out of the team. Limnios should have done better with his chance. Otherwise a very respectable result.
BostonThanatos Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Hopefully, they take those mistakes, and let it light a fire in them for the away match. We are usually much better away than home. The key will be for us to score early....if we have to play from behind, it'll be the end of it.
