Dutch Eagle Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Damn. Don't like to see one team being eliminated of my favourite countries. Normally AZ will progress.
Dutch Eagle Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Do teams get bonuses for victories/draws in the qualifiers? I can't remember Yes and no: For the team ranking the match results in qualifying rounds do not count. From 2009 on qualification for the Champions League and the Europa League is rewarded with a number of points based on the reached qualifying round: http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/calc.html
pash Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 I was actually referring to cash bonuses - I'd imagine they get something to offset the costs of travel for the smaller clubs?
Dutch Eagle Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 OK. Last season UEFA had this prize money breakdown: http://www.totalsportek.com/money/europa-league-prize-money/ Don't think it know if it really is at the same level the upcoming two years. 1
Niko77 Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 I just happened to be in giannina when this game was going on so I went to the game and it was sweet, the fans were pretty awesome I'll upload a video a little later 2
PAOKSYD Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Who is the owner os pas? How many season passes will they sell for season 2016/2017?
pash Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Even a single goal by them will require 5-1 victory by Odd. I think they're safe.
Dutch Eagle Posted July 21, 2016 Author Posted July 21, 2016 HT 0:0. We indeed need a victory for the coefficient. Will only be 0,02 points or so. But OK it could be the beginning of a zillion points......
Dutch Eagle Posted July 21, 2016 Author Posted July 21, 2016 Must get themselves together and score that vital awaygoal.
Dutch Eagle Posted July 21, 2016 Author Posted July 21, 2016 OK, the vital awaygoal is scored. If you want to look it at the bright side: the extra time gave PAS 30 minutes extra European experience.
pash Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 AZ Alkmaar will absolutely smash them, sorry to say. Would be huge if they manage at least one draw.
Original Sydney Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Almost F***ed it but they did the job, tough next match for them AZ aren't a bad side
PAOKSYD Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Great experience for pas. Hoepfully the club can use this to build on more stable financial future over the next couple of seasons
Rockafeller Skank Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Great experience for pas. Hoepfully the club can use this to build on more stable financial future over the next couple of seasons Doubt they earn that much from a europa qualifier to actually be able to bring better calibre players than they already have (maybe 1 or 2). Its mostly the feeling the players got by playing @Europe and proving worthy of it which is
RED SHERIFF Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I doubt PAS will make Europe next season... They are much weaker than last year..can't see them finishing higher than Atromitos or Asteras.
Dutch Eagle Posted July 22, 2016 Author Posted July 22, 2016 PAS will play its homegame against AZ in Athens. Their own stadium does not apply to the standards of UEFA. Odd that the stadium for the game against Odd in Q2 was good enough and for the Q3 not.
Dutch Eagle Posted July 22, 2016 Author Posted July 22, 2016 Media in Holland did not mention that, but the Greek media do. First game in Alkmaar starts 21:45 Greek time, by the way.
PAOKSYD Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 What a shame would of been a good chance for pas to cash in on anotrr 100k euros at zosimades. Lets see if epirotes of athens and others can get through the gate. Say 5000 expected?
RED SHERIFF Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 No its a Greek football thing... Remember Panionios fans ruining their own ground so AEK won't use it ? Lucky fatboy allowed them to use the best soccer stadium in the country...
Dikefale11 Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 How can a supporters group decide if a team playes 1 match at the stadium of their club. Surely thats a decision to be made by board officials/president. 1
