evalagoal
What we need to do (Olympiacos) is to play these youngsters in Cup matches and so forth. (I know that we're knocked out of the Greek Cup- but I'm making a point here people) Also, I realize that the 22 man squad had been announced earlier in the year but as a manager and a coach (Lemonis) should go ahead & attend some Academy trainings and games and call these guys up to play in a match that really doesn't matter for Olympiaco. I agree. We need to see more of this done in Greece. Call up a youngester. Psychologically peaking, they (the academy players) will be hungrier knowing that the big club will actually usse them. In my opinion, only Pao uses their academy well in Greece
Olympiakara10
What is up with the Ze Roberto rumors? This is pathetic. Olympiakos, spend some money and you will win. Look at the Scottish league. Is it any good? There are 3 teams there that spend money. Players will play for money. Spend money and win.

LUZ13
I read this in BAM http://www.bam.gr/news.jsp?newsID=75894 Obviously the writer does not know very well the 3 payers in question Dudu Cearense is a good player, so is Vagner Love somehow Bur Lucas Pezzini Leiva , which has italian citizenship (the writer of Bam does not has a clue) is not a good player, he is world class I dare say that Lucas will be the best in the world some time not very far from now if somehing really bad does not happento him like a serious injury or playing in Juve This player is simply perferct, he does everything, defends, disarms, attacks, make beautiful long passes and shots, and also socres some goals He is a born leader, a efensive midfielder with playmaker abilities, has not been player as a professional for more than a year, and already he is captain of the team and the young Brazilian squade. He lead them to winning the south american tournament in Paraguay which gives them a place in the Olympics, and in the sub-20 mundial in Canada. He is a hard working man in the trainings and the mathces, runs everywhere in the field, quick, efficient, I do not know what i can say more, you ought to see him to believe ' in you tube there are some clips, if you are interested i can bring the links Now,He is too good to be true, Inter, Milan, Juve, Atletico Madrid, they all wants him who wouldn't? Only 20 years,it is incredible He refused to be transferred and decided to stay in Gremio and help them in the Libertadores Until the summer his price will sure go up; no less than 15 mil. euros i suppose, if Gremio wins the Libertadores, even more He was chosen to the best brazilian player in 2006 (The brazilian golden boal) and he got it for stability His average note was the best It is imposible dream, I know, but it is nice to dream sometime I have been following him in Gremio, a team that returned from relegation, and mainly thanks to him finished in the third place in the brazilian championship Then i have seen all the mathces in the tournament in paraguay, when he took the team to a motivational meeting after a hard moment and some incident with the referree and expulsion of some key players' the players and the coach accepted his natural leadership, because he had no vanity in him Everybody thought Brazil was finished, but Lucas, the "golden boy" lead them to victory and he lifted the CUP, hardly because of his shoulder injury, but he overcame In the first game of the Libertadores this year, Gremio came to a terrible place called the stadium of Cerro Porteno in paraguay Many stones and other objects were thrown at the gremio players, when Lucas was carried away for treatment after been ffouled,he came back to the pitch running, and than a bottle hit him and he fell, the situation looked bad, because the only forward was injured and out in the 21th minute But than Lucas forgot his injury and the bottles and stones and scored the goal to give Gremio the first ever Brazilian win in that pitch' that is what he does' takes respoonsibility in crucial moments This is the player we need, but so does every team in Europe unfortunately And as to character, he is not Yaya toure nor a prima-dona Well , i will better finish this, so much praise may ginx him I can't help it, I just love this young man (and not because his good looks, mind you)

DUDE
I've been reading about various "possible transfers" and while I know the majority will be complete BS there has to be some truth in some. OUT: -A Schalke scout saw the Olympiakos - PAO game and he was extremely impressed with Torosidis, Cesar and Leontiou. (rumour) IN: - CSKA's Brazilian defender Dudu (who has been described by Ouaddou as being "as strong as Stoltidis & as talented as Rivaldo") is set to sign at the end of the season and has expressed his interest. However the price of 5m - 7m euro is considered a huge obstacle. (Fact) - Arsenal's Freddie Ljungberg will leave Arsenal at the end of the season and Olympiakos are interested, although a mystery Turkish team is favourite to sign him. (Fact) - More than 30 players have been presented to Olympiakos (that means they've been offered by clubs or agents) 2 of these are Micoli and Cacapa (rumour, but if it turned out to be true i have 1 thing to say: KAVLA!) - Other players being considered are: Mark Viduka: <_< yeah right, he'd want 40k a week! Derlei: Talented but 31 and has been in Russia for 2 years! I doubt he'd make much impact Senandon: WHO? Juan Pablo Angel: He wants to leave Villa, and would be a great signing! Olivier Kapo He's a Juve player but has been on loan for 2 years running to Monaco and then Levante, definitely a realistic target but I'm unsure about what he can offer. Cinema Pongol: good youngster would be a decent addition to the squad, but he is similar to Okkas, Castillo, and Pappas and he is only better than Pappas so unless 1 of them is leaving what's the point? Walter Pandiani: El Rifle "The Rifle" isn't the player he used to be, I dont think he'd do well. Albert Luque: NO THANKS! Maxi Lopez: Would be a brilliant signing, I doubt it though. Lopez: Not sure which Lopez they are talking about here, lol. Alfonso Alves: Plays for Heerenveen, I havent seen him play much but he's received great reviews in Holland. He's currently top scorer in the dutch league and is a free kick specialist As far as Greece goes Olympiakos are interested in Papadopoulos and Spyropoulos with OFI's Goran Drulic and Fanis Gekas making the list as well. (Btw, all the above are merely rumours). If I could choose any 3 of these in an ideal world it would be Viduka, Dudu, and Cacapa. Micoli is unbelievable at times too. However, for some reason the only one's I think are possible are Ljungberg, Derlei, Kapo, Pongol, Pandiani and Luque. And apart from Ljungberg none of the others would make a real difference. I hope I'm wrong but we'll suffer another devastating CL bid :(
aekrossoponti
Senandon: WHO? i believe they meant chevanton of monaco fame now at sevilla. the thing olympiakos has going for them in terms of transfers is that a huge number of 3-year diarkeias tickets are running out. kokkalis needs to pull a mpam to sell the tickets again. no one will buy a diarkeia to see okkas and babaginda play. also you forgot the neverending ze roberto rumour, which could actually happen this summer. the guy doesnt seem to attract any other offers, so apparantly its olympiakos or santos. he hasnt gotten any younger, so probably dudu is the better but more expensive solution. another rumour that appeared is roberto carlos! could well happen as he is 99,9% finished. i think his journey may end at olympiakos, turkey or saudi arabia. lets also not forget kleberson, who may end up coming and be the poor mans version of dudu! Dudu is primarily a centre-back though and Ze Roberto and Kleberson are primarily defensive midfielders so signing Dudu and Ze Roberto is possible. And I have to disagree with Carlos being finished re file, he is still fantastic getting forward and reliable defensively. He isnt quite the player he used to be but he's still a world class left back which is exactly the reason we won't get him. He'll either go to another big club or follow the money, neither of which are factors Oly can offer him. I'm not quite as cynical as you regarding the 'diarkeia' :P but look at the age of Anatolaki, Djole, Ribo, & Stoltidi. This is the back bone of the team and unless Kokkali wants PAO and AEK to take over he needs to buy big players! I like the idea of Dudu and Ze Roberto to provide stability at the back. I'd also like to see a typical winger at the club and imo thats where the BAM should come. We need someone who skips past players and delivers a deadly delivery. If that happened Konstantinou would become lethal! To be honest I dont think this BAM will happen. Oly will fail again in the CL but win the league again. Then if Kokkali doesnt buy big I think the domination of the league will be over. The Thing is he brought in Lemoni and Torosidi to get young talent so he doesnt want to spend. Trust me all these are rumours, the big names will come next summer not this one. ;)

Akritis_1944
Mark Viduka: <_< yeah right, he'd want 40k a week! Interesting bit of information about Viduka is that when he was coming up through the ranks in Australia he was based for a brief period at the Australian Institute of Sport In Canberra and our paths crossed a couple of times as I associate with many Croats. He didn't seem to be a bad character, but what is typical of many Croatians is that they hold us Greeks in contempt, so while it's unlikely Viduka would come to Greece, if he did however, he would want to "extort" as much money out of his "Greek paylords" as he could. Not that he needs anymore money...it was reported incorrectly in the Australian media during last years WC that he's parents were working migrants etc etc etc. The usual poor migrant story surviving in the lucky country etc, but the truth was he's family have been wealthy (we're taking millions) for at least 20 years. Also another interesting thing I heard from Viduka during his time at the AIS was that he ran into the tennis player Mark Philippoussis and that he broke his arm when he kicked the ball at him when Flip was in goals. When viduka was telling the story he said something like Philippoussis thought he knew a thing about soccer because he was Greek, but Viduka "taught him a lesson" or something like that. The fact is that he had to say this show how much he thought of us Greeks. auta....saxlamares apo enan xameno pou exei barethi ti zwh.
