AEKPROTATHLIMA Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Bravo to Geka. He is doing good in Germany. Maybe Vardinogianis fill stupid for letting him go!!!!
loup Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 :gr: December 15, 2006 Rank Player Team Goals 1 Marko Pantelic Hertha Berlin 10 Miroslav Klose Werder Bremen 10 3 Diego Werder Bremen 8 Roy Makaay Bayern Munich 8 Mario Gomez VfB Stuttgart 8 6 Theofanis Gekas VfL Bochum 7 :gr: :gr:
Akritis_1944 Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 He's worth has come by getting Bochum out of the relagation zone through his goals. Bochum are only 2 points off mid-table which reflects very well on Fani and I hope that he goes to a bigger German club if Bochum doesn't show their potential in Bundesliga.
Irlandos Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Bravo to Gekas! :) I hope his club career takes off and that he becomes successful also for the Greek NT. :gr:
Ziaka Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 I hope he does get bought by either Bochum or a bigger team. I hope so too, since PAOK stands to make some good money if he is sold.
Olympiakosthyra7 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 :nw: :nw: :nw: :nw: :nw: :nw: Great player hope he improves and makes Greece proud.
bar7 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I hope so too, since PAOK stands to make some good money if he is sold. how's that??? & how much would they get & Pao too???
TheCity1924 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 how's that??? & how much would they get & Pao too??? I think PAOK get 40% of any transfer fees. Tzigger really gave up a lot for Salpiggidis
Ziaka Posted December 19, 2006 Author Posted December 19, 2006 Yes it was part of the salpi deal. Gekas was supposed to be part of the transfer as one of the players going to PAOK, but he refused. As a result PAO sold 40% of his contract to PAOK and loaned him to Bochum.
DUDE Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Maybe by bayern if he stays in Germany Im just guessing (bigger team) You're right re file. I dont see why not... I mean he can obviously get goals in the Bundesliga so why not?

You can motivate players away from the team and not those on your own pitch ;)

cyberfish Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Hmmm, I haven't seen any interviews from Gekas in more than a week. He must not have scored.

AEKPROTATHLIMA Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Bravo to Gekas. Make us proud baby!!!! :gr:
bar7 Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 another goal for Gekas... up to 10 in the Bundesliga!!!!
cyberfish Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Good for Gekas! 10 goals with a middle of the run German team is excellent. He has shown that he deserves to be the NT starting striker. Does anyone know if any other Greek player abroad has scored more goals? I think he might have the record. I am happy for him, although I am bracing myself for more interviews with derogatory comments about Pao and the Greek league, and with praise for his good fortune, the superiority for the German league, fans, teams, etc.
AEKPROTATHLIMA Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 That is awsome for him. I hope he continues like that. Also Epale scored. Bravo to both of them. :gr: :gr: :gr:

cyberfish Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 thanks guys, I had forgotten about Machlas. Here are the stats I found: Gekas has 10 goals so far with Bochum in 21 games played. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/players/stats...d=69426&cc=5901 Stelios seems to have 9 goals as his best annual production with Bolton (2005-06). http://soccernet.espn.go.com/players/profi...d=13055&cc=5901 Mahlas, the best I can find is the wikipedia article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikos_Machlas that says he scored a lot, but I can't find a breakdown by season.
