Blackhawk Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 It appears Warda has played his last game for PAOK. He will most likely leave the team in January. Allready Al Ahli has shown interest in getting him either on loan or for 1.5 mil Euro. Apparently he has not changed his ways in the dressing room and Lucescu is not interested in giving him another chance.
pash Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 We'll see. Words are wind, as GRRM writes. If he does see the door, I'd much rather bring back a loanee (even if it costs some cash to break the deal) than to see us buy another guy who played in Ukraine. We also do have depth in that position even without him.
BostonThanatos Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 What exactly is the issue with him? From Instagram videos he seems to get along great with everyone....
pash Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 He's also claiming in an interview with inPAOK that there's nothing going on. We shall see I guess
pash Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 People that should go: El Kaddouri, Kacheridi, Shakhov People that should be re-signed: Crespo, Varela, Canas And, Branco - keep Warda!!!! As much as I hate to say it, Malezas probably shouldn't be extended again (if he was even pushing for it). I'd rather have Mihojevic and Hatziisaias than Kacheridi and Malezas next year. And instead of Shakhov, bring back Charisis - who has the speed and technical ability that he lacks. Boom, instantly better team.
Yiankos Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 I think we need to get rid of Khacheridi and try to find a CB for January.
Blackhawk Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 That's what happens when coaches opinion is not taken into account when players are purchased. Khacheridi was brought into the team by the Savvidis family at a high price. I am pretty sure the coach was not asked if he really wanted the player on the roster. The problem now is that we are not going to be able to get rid of him very easily. In the near future we will also have some serious problems to deal with. We have quite a large number of older players whose contracts expire soon. On one hand you need to keep them happy in order for them to play at 100% this season, and then try to let them know that their new contracts might not be as high or long as they wish.
Yiankos Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 That's very true Christo. Let's see how much brain our players have though. Savvidis is paying way more than anyone else in Greece right now. Everyone who is a player in our roster has big salaries and the bonus they received are enormous. They would be stupid to leave, unless they find a Turkish team that can pay more like Djalma Campos did.
Athens4 Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 pash, I would not renew Canas. He has proved that he is not consistent enough. If Yevhen Shakhov's contract is renewed then Savvidis needs professional help.
pash Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Sounds like Akpom might get a call up to Nigeria at some point. That would be pretty cool, though I wonder if there's any pressure to bide his time in case his profile rises in the next few years. He's still very young after all.

Bananas Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Still trying to get used to the fact that 400K feels like low wages by our standards these days.

Considering we got him as a 3rd backup keeper he’s worked out so well. Gonna be interesting what happens with the other GK’s on the squad. Rey was bought to be the first team keeper and he can’t be happy with the lack of playing time. Siananis looks like he wants out. And there is Gkykos who I guess is done after this season. Which is a shame. I remember when he collected his MVP and was emotional. That injury really ruined it for him just when he seemed to be finding his feet and really becoming a good solid keeper.
