  1. The truth is that the goals conceded were amateurish stuff. This defensive reputation which has we've trashed in 12 months has to be worked on and improved. Our defenders are just as good as any in Europe but they need direction and help from the midfield. The goals we've conceded these last 2 matches against Hungary and NI were diabolical. The positive thing is we will tighten up. We can't give these gifts to Belgium. They'll tear us apart.

  4. The Veria game being fixed, how Volos was relegated and these teams are still playing in the SL. How Platini went to Mykonos in Marinakis private jet for Theodoridis son christening. Looks like he wants to explode and say all he knows

  5. There is a rumour going round saying a few Armenian players were paid to sell them match..... But I agree with you Akritis not much to gloat about when you get their by default, still don't get how they were given the points when they instigated the incidents against Serbia, just shows how deep corruption goes....

  6. True. If I was Albanian I wouldn't be gloating. They beat Portugal in the first match and all of a sudden they think they are world beaters.

  7. Mitroglou showed what I was trying to point to all along. He's one of the best strikers Greece ever had, but he needs service. Most strikers can't make something out of nothing. Without service he becomes a pylon. With a good midfield we'll see that Klaus isn't too shabby either.

  8. I get what you are saying but how does that explain the 5 goals in total against NI, the 2 against FI and so on? Let's not forget guys we have always had trouble scoring this is NOT something new, the only thing that is new is our goals against and how horrible we've,played defensively. Let's say our offense does get better but the way we are playing defensively stays the same all that means is we will be losing 5-2 against teams like Bosnia and Belgium who can both score at will. FIX THE DEFENCE

  9. A blow out and we played on half speed. The game I'm really looking forward to is on Sunday night, Patriots vs Colts. People under the age of 18 shouldn't watch that game, watching that rape is too much for their young minds.

  10. I'm so relieved that this Hellas version of the team is not ready for the pension, imagine Tachtsidis chosen to start two games earlier and Not Tziolis? How good is this Pelkas kid? The fact the Mids and wingers had roving commissions showed enterprise by Tsanas that shocked me. This is a side, with the inclusions of Manolas, Holebas starting ofcourse and Toro, could really rattle good sides. Add as benchies Bouchalakis and Petsos too. One question, does Maniatis stop that Hungarian Nemeth I think, from slicing between Samaris and Taxi? If so, he might get a spot ahead of Samaris.

  11. I think Original Sydney is also right. Serbia forfeited the match 0-3 and had 3 points deducted while Albania got 3 points after the CAS verdict which means that Albania would have finished 1 point behind Denmark in third and thus no automatic qualification and no guarantee of progressing.

  12. I am not sure if we have the best group in decades.... what I know is we have better footballers than Hungary, Finland, Northern Ireland, Romania Faroe islands, Albania, Israel, Norway, Cyprus, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Scotland,EIRE, Belarus, Armenia, Iceland, Latvia , Estonia,Lithuania, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan who ended up finishing higher than we did......................................

  14. Serbia was only deducted 3 points. They weren't nearly close enough.

  15. I may have just skipped your post. You make a good point. As i mentioned above samaris and taxi ( like the two twin towers) is asking for trouble. You need someone more mobile. I like fortounis in a deeper role. We saw him against arsenal in this role in which he showed a lot of confidence. I think he is still raw in an advanced role, but he may just find his niche further back. We have been longing for someone that can consistency recycle the ball.

  16. We should play the lineup that tsanas basically played in hungary 4-3 just Manolas = For Moras Holebas = Stafylidis Torosidis = Kitsiou Plenty of lineups seem good in theory but this is the only one of a half dozen that actually performed great.

  17. I had a feeling that he might score like 5 goals and wish they would have been more evenly spread out through the campaign. (Would of resulted in a handful of wins considered the 0-0s) im glad we got a win that's actually a great idea by Tsanas that I didn't think of. load the midfield with CAMs we have 6 good ones. so it increases our odds of one having a good night. pelkas, ninis, fortounis, mantelos, kone, lazaros highlights

  18. This is the exact thing I was saying from the beginning, we need to fix our defense as it has gone to s%$#!. We actually played great offensively we found holes we created and great one touch passing. But the problem that has caused us to miss the Euro is our defense. We have now allowed 6 goals against in 2 games to garbage teams. It is refreshing to see our boys control the ball and finally get rewarded.

  19. You guys remember Warwzyniak?? Well he stopped playing soccer after us... and now he's going to the Euros! hahahaha

  21. I like this NT. I won't get hyped over just 1 game , and I think that's the proper thing to do. 4 goals is something we never saw really, at least not since I have been watching football. 3 goals against was too much to be honest , but apart from sokratis, none of our starter defenders really played , neither manolas/kyriakos at cbs nor torosidis (who in my opinion still has 1-2 more years to give his services). cholebas played a little but it was obvious that the coach's instructions were to play aggressive, so not much defending was seen of him ( I really hope im right and that those mistakes that he made we re not typical cholebas mistakes) lets hope from november , not just from the qualifiers but from the upcoming friendlies, we see the same as tonight.

  22. Good end to a terrible campaign. Our midfield looked so creative, that was easily our best attacking game in a while, against Hungary who had only conceded 5 before tonight too. But the defending was still awful.

  23. I would start Stafylidis. We have nothing to lose at this point. We've already F***ed this up badly. Stafylidis is a player for the future, Holebas isn't.

  25. It's impossible not to miss the greatest player in the World regardless which other quality players a team might have. Barcelona without Messi can't win the title as Real Madrid could not without Ronaldo. Manchester City without Aguero or / and David Silva might not even finish in the top 3 in the PL no matter how much their total squad cost to assemble. Bayern Munich is the most balanced of all the " super " European powerhouse teams at the moment.

  26. We need to be fair here. Olympiakos played exceptionally well last night. More tactically aware , defended deep with focus and got a little lucky with some goals but they deserved the win. No question about that. Arsenal have been inconsistent the last two months and they could of lost yesterday to a multitude of European opponents but so what? OLY was there and they are the ones that got the three points. In CL round one , Dynamo Zagreb also beat this Arsenal. Now to all this anti EPL stuff that I read periodically from certain complexed Greeks , my advice is just drop it. It's the most watched league in the World for a reason. It's the most honestly played , most competitive and unpredictable of all leagues anywhere in Europe . Any of the top 4 teams that are in the CL this year and struggling play every single league match on any weekend with fear that they can go and lose to any opponent , even the one in last place. English teams can't take days off before CL matches. Arsenal had Leicester away ( who was undefeated up to that point and have Manchester United the following weekend while the OLY match was sandwiched in between ) Manchester City fielded last week at Tottenham the most expensive starting XI ever assembled by an English team yet they lost 4-1 , a week earlier they lost 3-0 at home to West Ham. They probably will win the title at the end but they look lie shot in the CL. Bayern Munich, PSG and either Barca or Real will dominate their domestic leagues and will pull away from the rest of the pack. That doesn't happen in the EPL.
