I don't know about you guys but its been quite a few years since I have felt hopeful, super nervous, confident, and dreadful all at once the way I do right now LOL. PAME ELADARRRRRAAAAA!!!

Even the announcers are saying, maybe one the first one you can justify a little bit, but the second one no way in hell any referee would call that a penalty at that stage in the game.. We didn’t lose because the referee we still couldn’t score a goal but you could see the bias . I think our team has improved and we are definitely the favourites to win the nations league. Considering we had the hardest group in the euro qualifiers and qualifying was always going to be difficult I got to give props to the boys outside of one terrible game in Holland. We did well. Poyet deserves to take us to the nations league playoffs.. My only criticism I think he waited way to long to go for it.. 10 minutes was not enough.. First time we are playing in a sold out stadium in years. This would be huge if we can win in front of the fans and get them to start coming back regularly..

I'm not even that bothered really (mainly because of the playoff mind you). To be honest I always expected to come 3rd here. Greece have been steadily improving. I think a draw would have been the more correct result today but when you try to beat a big nation like Holland you can't leave it to referee and VAR good luck. Needs to be decisive. It was always a long shot in this group and they made a decent account of themselves overall having us believing once again. They just need to get in any way they can. Look at the playoff path it's amazing for us. Hopefully play decent and raise the rank for WC qualifying pots. Hard to qualify coming from where Greece was.

Good points. Fortounis is the best pure footballer Greece has, period. Imagine having him in the lineup today.

Kotarski extended through June of 2028. This is a very, very good move for us. Key player IMO - I can't believe he's only 23.

Greece has never defeated Netherlands at home and they never scored a goal. This has to change quickly as Greece trying to write history. A win here and Greece chance of qualifying automatically for EURO 2024 increases greatly. Not yet clinching it since Netherlands does have a match to make up while Greece gets the day off in late November. I honestly don't see Netherlands drop points at home to Ireland.

This is the Ethnikis biggest game since Spain in Athens (0-1), lets hope what every line up Poyet comes up with they have the game of their life. I really hope no Pelkas, I think, and it wont happen but for a game like this, you need one of our quicker midfielders in the middle, Galanopoulos would be good

The few things I took away from this win is Giakoumakis deserves to start instead of Pavlidis from now on. His bullet header and his positioning to start the 2nd goal told me everything. He is our best ST at the moment outside of Douvikas who didn’t get called. We are lucky to have so many inform forwards at the moment. Wish that could be said at CM. We still desperately need a 6 who is fast and can make quick passes and decisions. I saw Mantalos playing as the 6 at times because I assume poyet thought Kourbelis was getting caught out for his slow moving and thinking with the ball. Which I agree and believe was the case. Midfield in general needs improving and different players. Vlachodimos saved us a handful of times. Especially in the beginning of the first half. He did well considering he had been criticised a lot by Benfica fans. I’m still not convinced in having Bakasetas as our captain and starter. I don’t think I ever will be. Fortounis is way more creative and better player in general and I’ll always stand by that. Happy to see the team win and succeed but there are still a lot of question marks as usual with player selections.
