The ref just took 1st place away from us. Piece of s%$#!. The boys played there asses of and played rock solid defense and very organized in the back.. we deserved a lot better. we frustrated the hell out of Belgium and took advantage of there mistakes. Great job great result but it should have been a win if we had 11 players on the field.

The point against Belgium has given the power back to Greece for 2nd spot (possibly 1st). Bosnia 'MUST' beat us if they wish to advance, otherwise they will have to rely on us dropping points elsewhere. They'll come out and attack so team selection is tricky as Skibbe has to decide whether he wants to play on the counter, or treat the game as you usually would, needing to win. Personally, I feel we should go out play somewhat conservative when required, but with a plan to win (NOT DRAW). If we can beat Bosnia, then their fixture against Belgium will literally become a must win (otherwise no chance for WC18)... If they can then snatch a point of Belgium it may just open a door for us to look for auto qualification.

Getting 1-1 tie today was a great achievement against a much stronger team like Belgium. I think the new coach has the same recipe as Otto, play strong defense, frustrate the opponents, never mind about playing attractive football, and score on counter-attacks. It won't be pretty but given the talent available, Greece can achieve good things in football if they have discipline and a good plan. [things that lack in the greater society]

There is no reason to have stafylidis play cm with tzavellas being out. He played really well minus 1 slip which could happen to anyone. ..............karnezis toro..manolas..sokratis..stafylidis... .......maniatis...zeca mantalos..fortounis..giannotas .........mitroglou i think this would be a no brainer to use.

I don't really want to see Oikonomou start I think he makes big mistakes on basic plays. You can pretty much bet Zeca will get the start especially with Samaris out. Gionnatos needs to be in the line up as his speed and hustle will give Bosnia defenders a hard time which will free up space for Mitro. On another not this is the first time in two years where I can see this team looked like a solid team again it was great to see again. This also just proves that Greece needs to be a team that focuses on defence first with every team and then attack on the counter, When Greece try to open it up and play all out offence even the weaker teams like Estonia for example expose us. If we played this style of Soccer from the beginning where we concentrate on defense first I don't believe we would have had such a bad two years as we tried and changed our style which doesn't suit our team.

Considering the fact we'll have no pure midfielders at the next game, if I were Skibbe I would probably start Stafylidis along with Siopis or Maniatis. Not sure if starting Siopis is the right approach though. Then Oikonomou to replace Tzavellas, and most likely Ganniotas (I'd prefer Manthatis of Olympiacos to be honest) as a winger (since Kolasinac will be also out for Bosnia) instead ot Stafylidis who is going to be utilized as a DMF. Zeca was negative in these 10 minutes he played yesterday, he made a couple of mistakes too. Tziolis is tremendously slow in order to be considered as an option for such a game. When I hear, "give the guy a chance", I say, why give a chance to a buffoon, a charlatan, a bullsh*t and con artist?..... I will not "work together" to take basic assistance from people who are at the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder. I will not "work together" to get rid of common sense regulations on guns. I will not "work together" to eliminate the minimum wage. I will not "work together" to suppress scientific research, be it on climate change or anything else where there's a scientific consensus I will not "work together" to criminalize abortion or restrict health care for women, and defund Planned Parenthood. I will not "work together" to increase the number of nations that have nuclear weapons. I will not "work together" to put even more "big money" into politics. I will not "work together" to violate the Geneva Conventions. I will not "work together" to give the Ku Klux Klan, the Nazi Party, the Alt-Right and white supremacists a seat at the table, or to normalize their hatred. I will not "work together" to increase voter suppression. I will not "work together" to normalize autocratic rule, and to disrespect for our democratic institutions, while expressing admiration for dictators. I will not work together to undermine consumer protection and the safety of products I do not want to see the Supreme Court and federal judiciary populated by Trump judges that think corporations are people and "original intent" (of slave owners) should supersede common sense in the 21st c. Obviously these positions are progressive and conservatives are for all the above, hence my disagreement. But, with Trump, we're talking about the most unqualified person to occupy the White House in the last 100 years (possibly ever). He's been a fraud all his life. The only interesting thing left (for me) is to see at which point, if ever, the Repubs will figure out they've been duped.

He also saved the auto industry, made Wall Street pay back the bailout money, killed Osama, etc. This all in the face of the "party of no" that sabotaged Obama every single step of the way. When the Repubs were in the minority in the Senate they filibustered all the way, and when they got the majority they were even worse. So, what happened to "I have a terrific plan that will cover everyone, for lower cost and better coverage" than the Obamacare? Well, what happened is that he said, "no one knew healthcare would be so complicated" [shows how unprepared and ignorant he is] ...and "I'm best in making deals" to not being able to sell Trumpcare to his own party that controls Congress. Are we great yet?....

Taxi was a beast today. He should be nailed on to the endekada my goodness. Skibbe definitely got the right team today. My criticism of him is a couple of guys on yellows, should have subbed sooner they were always likely to foul again. That cost us the win we had them pretty much completely contained. Looked toothless without KDB and Haz. Was not impressed by them. Should have won the game actually. Great strike by Mitroglou and they barely had any real chances at home. Either very poor or well contained. Seriously. Kapino made a couple saves. That was it, D and defensive D for me was very good considering. Well done Ellathara, criminal not to come away with the 3 points. Should have really anticipated that fault to Skibbe.

qualifying needs some luck from the drawing pot. If we get a Spain/Italy Netherlands/Sweden Switzerand/Portugal draw its gonna be hard.

Dude our epo played a friendly before the Bosnia match. Their's didnt. Now Bosnia playing one, ours didn't. I am not sure it's easy to find opponents but considering we re one of the best park the bus nations we should be pretty perizititoi from big teams who wanna find ways to break solid defences.

Skai reporter said Tachts was used only to play Fellaini in the midfield coz he is massive, and Witsel wins battles as well. I know tachtsi wasnt very good overall today but I think we did win the midfield.

Very very good result. If Taxi hadn't been sent off I dare say we hold on for a win. Up until the red card the belgians looked toothless in attack. In the end took a huge double save from Kapino to get the result but we take it. Keeps us in second place, and more importantly maybe, it means we can go to Bosnia and afford a draw. Huge result in every single way.

The ref was fine. Last call up was actually Sokratis fouling Lukaku and not the opposite which was given from him. Stop trying to imply we got screwed I found him very helpful instead.Many refs would give Samaris' handball as a penalty.

Fantastic game by almost all of the players. Our left side defensively was excellent with tzavellas and stafylidis. Tachtsidis should have been taken out at half time. He was clumsy in the first half and lazy with his passes. mitro continues his form with that fantastic finish. In a huge game like this I thought kapino did fantastic. Big losses for Bosnia game though with suspensions

That was some serious parkage of the bus, they could only hold on for so long. All in all im very surprised with this result. A tie away against Belgium is very very impressive. Well done to the boys.

First Chuck Berry and few days later Chuck Barris. Chuck Barris of the Gong Show fame (and producer of many other TV shows) dead at 87 years old. Used to love watching the Gong Show. Some great characters appeared on that show. RIP
