For some reason, they played him at right back and he didn't play well.  Got a yellow and was subbed out at halftime.

Stuttgart have renewed their loan deal with Arsenal for Mavropanos for a further season. In the agreement there is an obligation to buy if Stuttgart remain in the Bundesliga, if they are relegated it will simply be an option to buy. 

Good move for him, he had a good 2nd half of the season when his body held up and was up to find his feet. Hopefully he has another good season.

Scored to put Stuttgart 2-0 up today, they ended up winning 3-1. Seems we will have a quite a few players coming to the NT in good form this international break.

Yet another goal from Mavropanos last night as Stuttgart drew 1-1 with Monchengladbach. He scored a cracker with a shot from outside the box. Seems he's putting in a case to be turned into a striker, it's his 3rd league goal of the season and his 4th all up (1 in the cup) They've all been nice goals in their own right too! 

Also worth seeing at the end of the below video, he makes a crucial block to keep the scores at 1-1

He's developing a knack for scoring cracking goals, another brilliant strike to give Stuttgart the lead against Wolfsburg. They went on to win the game 0-2, this goal was Mavropanos 4th in the Bundesliga this season.

The purchase option for Mavropanos was triggered. Mavropanos signed a contract until June 2025 at “Die Schwaben”.

Mavropanos scored a 98th min winner for Stuttgart against Hertha Berlin in a 2-1 win. He also made a crucial clearance off the line with the scores locked at 1-1.
