Mak came out today and said that he will most likely not play in this game due to his alleged 4-day cold. Sounds quite questionable to me. I think he wants to join his NT, which starts EURO training on May 19, before the playoffs finish. I have a feeling we will not see Mak in PAOK jersey again.

 

Vitor is also questionable, and Kace has a red card ban.

I don't think it has to do with the refs. I think he is not happy with the contract offer we made him and also the fact that he puts the NT over his club. We shall see. If he still has a fever going into the Panionios game, than I think there is something fishy going on.

As for Mak, let's not forget that he puts the NT above PAOK. He claimed to be injured and couple days later he played a friendly for his NT. Also, his wife last week posted that in few days the family will leave forever from Greece (whatever that means). However he took part in today's practice, so let's see if he plays on Wednesday.

 

Vitor will also not play Sunday due to injury, but there are constant rumors that he is close to either Red Star or Trabzonspor, so there are possibly other issues in play as well.

 

As for the game itself. Kace got a 3-game ban for his red card, so we have an issue in midfield. He would have been a great tool in this game. I also expect Chatziisaias to play instead of Malezas, who was quite poor against AEK.

I have no problem with Tziolis in this game. We will most likely play a defensive game, so he will provide additional defensive help. I see us relying on counters to try an score. The main thing is not to lose on Sunday. Win will be a big bonus. Let's not forget that in our 85 year league history at Leoforos Alexandras we only have 5 wins.
