Blackhawk Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 Why do I have a bad feeling that we will not make any moves during this transfer period, except for Vellidis. 1
PAOKSWEDEN Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 The Boussoufa-transfer won't happen as the costs, according to Gazzetta, would be near 5 million Euro.
Pontos Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Olsen has been sent out on loan to Kobenhavn for the remainder of the season
pash Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Excellent! Are they picking up all of his wages?
pash Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Apparently we're close to Dimitri Chatziisaias (CB, Panionios).
Pontos Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Not sure if they'll pay 100% of his wages Pash. I would be happy with Chatzisaias, we need CB's, he's at good age, has GSL experience. Our options are that thin back there, if he doesn't perform to a first XI standard than he'd still be handy as a backup. A good, necessary move I hope it goes through. 1
Bananas Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Sounds like an interesting move Pontos. Until we can stabilise our defense, the team will remain inconsistent. In a parallel universe quality CB's exist, that choose to come to PAOK instead of better leagues. These players also happen to under 30, match fit and playing regularly for their team.
BostonThanatos Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Also looking at Panionios' Taso Bakaseta... Paidia, ama psonizoume metagrafes apo Panionio, gamiseta k'afiseta...
BostonThanatos Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I think PAOK has had a pretty decent crop the past few years...but I hear you. The price you pay in Greece for not being a top 3 team, is everyone sticks their hand in your cookie jar...
PAOKSWEDEN Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I'd say Oly has been leading in picking up players from Panionios with the transfers of Maniatis, Samaris, Siovas and Kolovos. I don't know how good Bakasetas and Hatziisaias are but if they are just half as good as the mentioned ones I hope we can cop them.
BostonThanatos Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Dry? Only a pro like you can take it dry.... You know the Greek saying "Me salia kai ipomoni...." ??? 2
Blackhawk Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 Looks like the Chatzisaias deal will be announced tomorrow. It will be a 4-year deal. Apparently we will pay Panionios 500K transfer fee. Looks like all these teams with financial problems (Panionios, Giannina) found a cash cow in Savvidis and are milking him for every Euro they can get. 1
pash Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Transfermarkt values him at 400k, so this isn't a huge premium considering that it's obvious how bad we need a CB. I just hope he's worth it.
PAOKSWEDEN Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Tbh I don't know so much about him, but after reading the comments from the fans of Panionios on Gazzetta it seems to me that this is a good transfer, both at the moment and for the future. Considering this is quite a cheap transfer and that Costa's contract probably won't get extended after this season (1 million/year) we'll have some nice money to spend in the summer on a partner to him if the other CBs don't raise their level under the remaining part of the season. 1

Yeah I've heard rumors about him[Costa] coming to the MLS's New England Revolution. Besides the soupa league and Arabia, MLS pays way too much for aging players. so this might work out nicely for paok Edited January 27, 2016 by Bajewy 1
Bajewy Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I'll bring the chorizo you bring the retsina we'll meet at Gillette. 1
Bananas Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Hopefully he's good in the air and can help with defending at set pieces. According to transfermarket, his height is 1.93m so that can't hurt. He'll probably be the tallest player in the squad.
BostonThanatos Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I'll bring the chorizo you bring the retsina we'll meet at Gillette. Chorizo? Watch out meeting up with Pash....he'll be offering you some Loukaniko before you know it.

Pontos Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 (edited) We were lucky to get even that much out of them. They kicked up a fuss that we didn't accept 1.000.000? and drew negotiations out till they bumped up the offer a whole 500.000? which according to the media they still weren't happy with. How generous of them. I hope he can keep this form up till the end of the season when he becomes available in the next transfer window. A previous post was pretty accurate in estimating how much a move to a club like Atletico would cost, IMO. Edited January 28, 2016 by Pontos
