Blackhawk
Apparently we are looking at the 22-year old Cypriot defensive mid Konstantinos Laifis from Anorthosis. Cypriot press is saying we made a 400K offer for the player.
pash
My sincere hope is that this is to provide proper coverage for Kace/Cimirot, and possible replacement for Tziolis. We'll be swimming in DMs soon.
Bananas
With the exception of a class CB, I don't really want any more signings. We need to sort our what signings we have now.
italosPAOK4
i would take a good CB and some quality winger to serve the ball better to Berbatov
BostonThanatos
Ronaldinho is released, and all the kokkorakia are talking about Ivan being eager to sign him. Am I the only one who doesn't want this guy here? He's been a fat slob, non-factor for over 4-5 years now. If the reports are true, I think Ivan may like the IDEA of bringing another "name" to PAOK, seeing the reaction he got for signing Berba... BostonThanatos
Really? To be completely honest, I haven't seen a single match of his since he left Milan... I know it's "just the Greek League", but at this point in his career, and with all the complaints about him the past few years, do you think he'd have a positive impact on a team? Part of me is curious...
BostonThanatos
Yeah...Last I saw him was 2010 I think.
pash
Ronaldinho isn't just 35. He's an OLD 35. The only things I've heard about him in the past few years are troubles with club management. Let's not waste our time.
Bananas
Berbatov is not a kolo paido. Ronaldinho is coming. But first he has to visit some bourdela and bouzoukia. Maybe he can do a duet on the beach with Essien.
Bananas
Maybe he can sing you a song to cheer you up. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
gdkmangosalsa
ronaldinho was serviceable at queretaro (mexican league) last season, but i don't think he has a place in this PAOK. not now with berbatov coming in and being all about the team, youth development, etc.
italosPAOK4
i wouldnt mind if we signed Ronaldinho as long as he is under the surveillance of Pablo Garcia :box:

pash
Olsen on his way out? http://www.gazzetta.gr/football/article/811900/paok-gia-pletikosa Pletikosa is a former teammate of Tudor's at Hajduk Split. I know nothing about him.
gdkmangosalsa
he was always quite good for croatia but he's 36. he's not like he used to be. what's the matter with glykos?
Blackhawk
He will most likely be loaned out in January.
Bananas
I thought the deal with Antonis signing with PAOK was that he didn't want/agree to be loaned out.
pash
I think the guarantee was "wouldn't be loaned out before December." So he'd compete for his chance. I haven't seen anything in highlight videos that tells me he'd be good enough to start over the others, frankly.
Bananas
Ah, I didn't know about the December dead line. You know, getting loaned out might be the best option, because he'll get game time (hopefully) and in addition, the club will be able to assess his capabilities during match day. Training is one thing, and match day is another.
BostonThanatos
Antonis is included in the 18 for the Cup match...maybe we will get to see what the kids got. It'd be nice to get a big lead early, and Tudor can get guys in there.
pash
Cup matches require youth team members to be called up as well, right? Three of them? Right now, the only one I would recognize is Deligiannidis (unless Pozoglou still counts?)
italosPAOK4
the cup games are a good opportunity to use players that haven't played much so far. so let's see Antonis!
pash
Sportdog reporting that Tudor is looking for an additional CF, CM, and CB for January. Apparently not happy with Berbatov's output. Soon we'll have more players than Oly.
Blackhawk
Berbatov was brought in by Savvidis for marketing reasons. I really doubt if Arnesen/Tudor had much say in the matter. As it is the style that Tudor is playing is not really suitable for Barbatov and for that matter Klaus as well. It's probably no coincidence that the team picked it up in the Panathinaikos when Berbatov left the pitch. It's probably also no coincidence that Klaus has been lost on the pitch so far this season. I think we really need a good "dekari' that can create things on offense. Pelkas is just too young and inexperienced to take on that burden all by himself. Also we need defensive help badly.
