gdkmangosalsa Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Sounds like this fella needs to remove two of those tables, put in a TV with nova access, and reserve the third table for us. i would literally be there every weekend, school be damned. gyro city is fantastic and authentic imo, but i'm always down to try a new place. what part of greece is this guy from?
BostonThanatos Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 The gyro was the real deal. I took Tu to the face on the drive home.
pash Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I found this entertaining. Very much in the line of other made-up places, like Narnia and Middle Earth. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/australasia/australian-accent-is-a-product-of-early-settlers-heavy-drinking-claims-academic-a6711486.html 1
Nea Bafra Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 pash, it's probably more pertinent to the northern states
BostonThanatos Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Here's a pic from Gyro spot in Roslindale....notice something in the background? Pash, Giorgo, have you guys had a chance to check it out? How were those Retsines btw?
pash Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Love that photobomb. Is that bougatsa sign telling the truth? And, I've had a few of the retsinas, thank you!!!!
BostonThanatos Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 They have bougatsa with krema, feta and kreas. But that s%$#! runs out by 1pm. Also, the tzatziki has been Americanized since the first few sandwiches I had. There's no garlic in it anymore. (I haven;t been there in a while, so maybe it was a fluke)
BostonThanatos Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I'm sure there's some in there..it's just bland. The first few sandwiches I got were great...the Tzatziki had a nice little punch to it.... The last 2 times I went, it just tasted like yogurt and cucumbers....

Go in there wearing a Greece National Team jersey with a ghetto blaster on your shoulder blaring out Greek music demanding more garlic in the tzatziki.

Akritis_1944 Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Both Ivic brothers speak excellent Greek. Naturally, they've been banging Greek birds for years. 1
Klaous Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Not sure why they would want to do that when there are better women out there.... :D ;) Are you kidding me, Saloniki is like the Paris of the Balkans.
