Dutch Eagle Posted August 29 Posted August 29 6 hours ago, pash said: Do they apply a multiplier to the coefficient points for the better leagues? In other words, would a conference league win be 1.0 points, EL 1.1, CL 1.2 (as an example)? They don't. But they do offer more bonuspoints. In CL all starters of the LP get 6. Every point you earn after that (2 for a win, 1 for a draw) will be on top of that. For reaching the knock-out phase and in the knock-outs you get also (more) points than in the other leagues. Points are granted on a linear scale. Every next round (R of 16, QF, SF, F) gives more bonuspoints In EL and CoL you get minimum 3 and 2.5. You really start collecting points after you reached the tally of 3 and 2.5. So last year we reached that 3 after the draw against Plzen and the win against RFS. The wins vs Ferencváros and Slavia were the ones that really boosted the coefficient (so 3+4). For spot #22 in the League Phase we earned 0.75 points. Hence the 7.75. Less bonuspoints in EL in the knock-outs than in CL. In CoL you have only 6 games in LP. Bonus points are at a lower level than those in EL. See also: https://kassiesa.net/uefa/calc.html 1
Dutch Eagle Posted August 31 Posted August 31 No gloating as we will drop points too during this season but O Aris lost at home against Panaitolikos (0-2) and Pana drew at home against Levadiakos (1-1) with their former player Verbić scoring the equalizer in 86'. 1
pash Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Oh nice, in the 86th minute. I stopped paying attention maybe ten minutes before that, assuming they would hold on. Excellent news!
Dutch Eagle Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Only September 1st and coaches/trainers dropping like flies: Rijeka sacked their coach. O Aris too. Not relevant for us but worthwile: Mou (Fenerbahçe), Ten Hag (Leverkusen), Solskjaer (Besiktas) gone too (with a lot of sacking payoffs) 1
paokarag4 Posted September 22 Posted September 22 No harm no foul in the end. The Derby ends in a 1-1 draw and AEK also drops points at Larissa. We remain level with Olympiacos and AEK despite our poor result on Saturday. Aris also just a point behind.
pash Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Whoa...I've never heard of something like this happening. Wild. https://www.nbcnews.com/world/united-kingdom/billy-vigar-british-soccer-player-dies-21-brain-injury-rcna233877?utm_source=firefox-newtab-en-us
PaokCT Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Probably gonna Jynx it but AEK is down to Kifisia 2-0 in the first half 1
pash Posted October 5 Posted October 5 They're down to ten men but it's 2-2 with about a half hour to go...
Dutch Eagle Posted October 5 Posted October 5 And of course they win with a penalty in the 90+'s: 2-3. But they will miss a player against us because of a straight red card.
Dutch Eagle Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Three points deduction for OFI for not paying former player Thanasis Papazoglou. Panathinaïkos lost 1-0 at Volos. Goal and matchwinner: Lazaros Lamprou.
pash Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Wow, that's wonderful. I feel it's only a matter of time before they get their s%$#! together (especially since they have a game in hand) so Volos' bounce-back is great for us. Olympiakos-Aris currently 0-0 but we're only 15 minutes in so far.
Blackhawk Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago Aris lost 2:1 even though they played with extra man for 25 minute. I that span they of time they could hardly make a pass, let alone score a goal. We have to win tomorrow and then go to play Panathinaikos who will be hard pressed to get points. Hopefully we won't resurrect them.
