Sherif have as their emblem a sheriff's star-badge. They surprisingly qualified to meet OSFP by scoring a goal in the 90+4' against Slavia Prague. My God.....Did you even see who Panathinaikos drew?!??! :huh: Man, OSFP got "lucky" when Platini brought this new system. Which is your typical socialist-french minded bullshit, where diversity is injected at the expense of competition and quality - and in our case as fans, entertainment value. There is not one team in that pot that OSFP would not rout or breeze through easily. They are all utterly, ATROCIOUS. Our Superleague 5-6 placed tams could beat those scrubs. At the same time there is Fiorentina - Sporting, Timisoara - Stuttgart, and Celtic-Arsenal Lets be honest. OSFP vs Sheriff is the least interesting tie. OSFP somehow is making a really big deal of this match, even though its seriously in the bag. The new system allowed for the draw to be ABSURDLY EASY, hence your playing Sheriff Tiraspol, who have a budget less than the average European's yearly income, in what is the poorest European country. Even if I was OSFP supporter, I would not be interested in this tie. It's a waste of time, and no suprise, OSFP were going to qualify 100% for this CL this year, because the draw has been made up to 10 times easier than before. I was thinking about that as well, but the only thing that I can think about that is because maybe it's cheaper for FSC...The Olympiacos game is LIVE and the Celtic game is going to air later on in the day as a "replay".. No matter it's a Greek team that's being televised and I'm making sure that all my US friends are going to be watching and tuning in... Even as an Oly supporter, watching PAO-Altletico in a packed Athens crowd would be more interesting. That being said, it still is Olympiakos and they are on television in the USA. It doesn't happen often, so I am going to watch it. Fox Soccer Channel does suck arkidakia. A lot of their announcers and commentators are annoying to watch (with the exception of that blonde chick). Even during highlight replays they can't get it right. They tell you wether or not he scores even before the ball crosses the goal line. The English commentators I hear during the EPL matches are miles ahead of these Canucks. . The reason FSC has lasted as a channel is because the fans thirsty for soccer here in the USA have to watch whatever is available. FSC has outbid ESPN for the rights to the Champions League games, none will be on ESPN. I think this is a big setback for getting soccer into the mainstream USA viewership. I hope they get some new commentators or use the commentary broadcasted in England. Gol TV and ESPN deportes have some good coverage of Spanish, German, Dutch, South American and UEFA Cup soccer. I mean obviously you'll watch it since its a rare occasion, but its ridiculous that its being televised over the good games that are being played. Its nothing against OSFP, but its stupid enough to show ANYTHING from the "champions" side of qualifying, as it is clearly 100's of levels inferior to the "Best Placed" side of qualifying. If OSFP was playing Stuttgart for example then it'd be ok. But Sheriff Tiraspol live from Moldova? WTF? To see a run down stadium and a simple 2 or 3 0 win for OSFP? Thats just stupid. I sent a letter into them complaining. I'm glad I don't really watch them/ need to as I am abroad again, also there is Greek Live which I watch all my footy on. But still. Whenever I do go back to the US and want football on my television I'd have to listen to those assholes. I havent seen Fox Soccer Report in years, but last I did they still had those incredibly goofy/lame Canadians trying to narrate. It's sad. After years, they still sound stupid. After years, the studio still felt cheap, After years, they still can't pronounce names for s%$#!, and after years they still have that ugly woman with glasses, who had absolutley no idea what she was even saying (she was clearly not a football follower, and if you're going to have any person who does not know anything, they better be a HOT woman, otherwise there is no purpose. Also, the Fox Soccer "Jingle" before matches is ANNOYING, and sounds like it belongs in the early 90's, in a bad way. And Sorry but Canadians have no business commentatitng anything but ice hockey in this world. Truth, even the American commentators far exceed Canadians. And that is sad. Neither people have any business in the football commentating business. Although, I could say even worse are the GolTV commentators, a bunch of hispanics speaking English with thick accents. Yes, I understand the channel is originally in Spanish. That still makes no sense. Have a native speaker commentate, f-tards. Shame Setanta went under, I thought they were the US's saviour. They had the smooth brand, and all commentary shipped from Britain. anyways......back to this match..... I really think it should be simple. Olympiakos are on FOX in the US and PAO are on ITV in the UK during prime-time tv(!). Let's hope Olympiakos destroy Sheriff in sintilating fashion and PAO shock the world by beating Atletico tomorrow. These are big opportunities for Greek football and we should be supportive Drakos.
