ukchris
So, the UEFA Cup draw has been made this afternoon and Panionios will play French side Sochaux for a place in the group stages. I'm obviously a bit disappointed we didn't draw one of the English teams, but it's a good draw for us. We were one of the unseeded teams and Sochaux are one of the weakest of the seeded sides. So far this season, they've played 6 games in the French league - Sochaux have drawn 2, lost 4, scored 4 goals and conceded 12! So they certainly haven't started strongly. The second leg is back in Athens too, which is good. Here's hoping we get off to a good start this season and hit some form before the Sochaux games! DUDE
Panionios have a great chance to qualify imo. Sochaux are not that strong BUT the panthers are unpredictable. They usually start the season poorly and improve. But to qualify this time around they have to be in great form from the start.
Crazy
If Panionios plays as well as they did against Osfp in the friendly they could go to the next round.

ukchris
Eight games into the French season and Sochaux still haven't won a game and are second from bottom of the league. We couldn't have really picked a better time to be playing them. Come on the Panthers!
